Vince Lanci: "Gold's Open Interest Declines, But Price Hasn't Come In Yet"

2 weeks ago the gold market set a new record for largest bank short position since the CFTC started keeping the data. And in the time since then, we've even seen some short covering by the banks at a $2,500 plus gold price.

The open interest has been declining as well recently, which often accompanies a sell-off. Although so far while the open interest has come down, the price has not.

So in today's show Vince Lanci takes a look at what's happening, and why we're seeing a diversion from the normal pattern.

Peter Krauth: When Does Silver Deficit Become A Problem?

At this point, most silver investors have heard that the Silver Institute reports the market being in a deficit over the past 5 years. And while the price is higher this year, we're still on track for another deficit. Which has left investors wondering when we're going to see a more substantial impact on the price.

So today I'm joined by silver analyst and author Peter Krauth, who actually did some calculations on the matter, and talks about how long the deficits can go for before they become a bigger problem.
