Chris Carminucci currently serves as a scout for Major League Baseball's Arizona Diamondbacks. Globally renowned for finding diamonds in the rough, Chris has signed several obscure players who have thrived in the Majors, including standout David Peralta. He also went to my high school and had my Mom as a teacher but, despite her love for him, he describes his younger self as “a trouble maker”. Since leaving John Jay he has certainly lived his dreams, and his life story plays more like a Hollywood screenplay. Not only did he get paid to play baseball himself, but he has coached, managed, worn mascot-suits and written a book, among other things. Carminucci has done it all, including coaching and co-owning a team with Bill Murray, Lorne Michaels and Jimmy Fallon, yet somehow retained his humble blue-collar work ethic. Whether you're a baseball fan or not, this one is a must-listen.
