In this week's episode, Lloyd comments on the story of Pastor Tony Self, who claimed that he was fulfilling scripture by "Laying hands on the sick" when he confronted and assaulted a man who had been insulting and threatening members of his congregation and his family. Was he defending his flock, or giving in to the Old Adam?

In this episode, Lloyd reflects on the story of Jordan Salinas, who responded to a mass shooting by intervening to protect others. We also connect the story to a chapter from The Fifth Command, exploring the wider meaning of the Fifth Commandment. It's not enough to avoid murdering your neighbor. When possible, we are expected to help, save, and defend them, as well.

Lloyd pays tribute to the late author, Raymond Keating. Keating was author of the Pastor Steven Grant novels about a former CIA operative turned Lutheran pastor. He was a guest on the show in 2017, and in this episode Lloyd presents the full, un-edited interview from episode 81. We hope you enjoy the show and will keep the Keating family in your prayers.
