Absolutely! Gabby Pettitos unfortunate story is a mere slice of what the emotional abuser is capable of doing. Victims of emotional abuse already have life long irreversible affects to contend with but homicide terminates all chances of recovery. Do Armenians participate in this gaslighting, disparaging and otherwise abusive banter toward women? Sadly yes, and we need to call this out and check ourselves and how we treat each-other for our ultimate healthful survival. Listen to learn the signs of emotional abuse in others and recognize the behaviors of the abusers. Let’s prevent this sort of thing from ever happen to our women.

Seriously though, why are we doing this to our young women and men in fact? Why do we continue to feed our kids crap and then shame them for being fat? In this day age of a plague that seems to pray on the obese, we can do a much better job of encouraging healthful lifestyles for our youth while not shaming them for getting off track, or simply being a kid who’s body growth changes are normal. The jig is up! We cannot continue to berate each other and then expect positive results with health. It simply doesn’t work. Let’s empower our women especially and be a good example for them too.

Do you need a break, a recharge or a new fresh view on life? Of course you do! We all need to take an artist date for ourselves and get back to nature and nurture to be the empowered women we are meant to be. Don’t tiptoe around eggshells, stomp on them and get out there again! You deserve that and need it to be whole again.

Are we pinning women for faults and wrongs more than men? Absolutely! We are quick to judge and pin a women even if she’s been wronged. Let’s challenge ourselves this week and find opportunities to compliment and praise the women in our lives!

May 28 is not just Armen in Independence Day it is also my independence day yay! I have survived and thrived from four years of independence from a very toxic and abusive relationship and marriage. Take a listen excuse me two things I have learned and over come throughout the years.

Do we still practice the archaic bride kidnappings in Armenia? You betchya! Unbelievable to be wasting time on this antiquated inexcusable practice of female dominance when we have bigger things to worry about, like elder care of our women and financial and emotional wellness. Let’s get out of the dark and call this junk out of our culture for good.

Dance at your kids birthday. Make it a special day just because you had them. It’s empowering to celebrate life any which way you can. When you’re empowered you can achieve full independence and freedom you’ve always wanted! Cheers and happy Mother’s Day!

What did the empowered armenian women do to help quell the storm of looming clouds of doom? How did they stay strong and press on? It’s a mystery to me still and I know what a super human my own grandmother must have been to go through it all and still manage to live some kind of life.
