C’mon now, these days are simply to reminds us how much more work we have to be done. Why not celebrate it doing something special for women only? Are we still teaching our boys to be our daughters keepers? The oddest thing I ever heard was when my friend Taline had to get her two year older brothers permission to go to the movies with me. I was like, really? You’re not going to aak your parents? Totally disempowering the girl who grows up to be a woman who cannot confidentiality decide for herself and has a skewed view of authority figures. I was married to this type who had sisters answering to him even as adults. Let’s be careful how much power we give to our sons over our daughters. It’s outdated and unnecessary.

How are you manifesting love in your life? Valentine’s Day is overrated sometimes, but the bigger picture is always more important than the temporary day. Let’s think long term and rid ourselves of the toxicity moving forward.

News getting us down about our role as diasporan Armenians? Totally, I get it and you’re not wrong to feel strongly about that. The fact is that diasporan Armenians have been doing the best they can under circumstances beyond their control. Praise your kids quickly and surely when they make strides to turn poison into medicine for hayastan any chance you get! We are woke and are on the right side of history!

I thought I knew what the title of this one was going to be until I got spammed with angry emojis. I still cannot understand what the anger is all about toward Armenian women in leadership roles. I will never understand how it’s acceptable in this day and age when Armenian women are caught up in a game of chauvinism and sexism. It makes no sense why we shouldn’t support and uplift and empower each other everywhere and everyday. Armenian women need a seat at EVERY table and it’s not amot to support that! Enough is enough!!

Please, only adult ears for this one as it is sensitive subject matter. Sexual abuse isn’t just a violent rape or angry and yelling and screaming sex. It’s way more than that and all falls under the umbrella of emotional abuse. It may even be more debilitating than that of violent sexual abuse.

Do you have any habits you’d like to break, shake and develop? I think that an old habit shaken should replaced with a new more productive and healthy one, and what better time to do that than in a new year! You’ll learn about how I broke one and then set some measurable s goals and habits that keep me accountable and that is empowering!
