  • Up From Ashes A True Story The Odds Of Love And Hope From Sharon Cameron
Sharon Cameron became inspired to write UP FROM THE ASHES after discovering Selma Engel’s oral history interview on the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s website. She watched it four times, then found Chaim Engel’s interviews, and other survivors discussing the Sobibor death camp, and the uprising that took place there. The history was fascinating, but it was Chaim and Selma, and the hope born from love that they forged together—the hope that helped them survive—that truly inspired her. UP FROM THE ASHES is a work of dramatized fiction. All the events from the book are from eyewitness testimony. All the characters are real, using their real names where known. Sharon Cameron worked closely with the Engel children and grandchildren to make this novel as accurate as it could possibly be. The result is an extraordinarily moving work that celebrates how hope and love can light even the darkest path. More about UP FROM THE ASHES:  Sharon Cameron’s latest release traces Selma and Chaim’s story of survival and love alongside the infamous revolt and escape of the Sobibor death camp prisoners, which was the only known successful uprising and mass escape from a death camp.  Selma Wijnberg is a criminal, a prisoner. Because she is Jewish. For this crime, in the depths of Hitler's occupation of Holland, Selma is deported to the Sobibor death camp, sentenced to sort the clothes of the dead while a smoke made of thousands blackens the sky. And in the light of this enormous funeral pyre, at the end of a Nazi pistol, Selma is ordered to dance. The hand that offers to dance with her is strong. It belongs to Chaim Engel. Chaim is a Polish Jew and also a prisoner. Chaim and Selma don't speak the same language. But sometimes, love doesn't need a language. But when the prisoners of Sobibor hatch a daring plan of escape, it is time to kill or be killed. In an hour of terror and panic, of bullets and bloodshed, Chaim and Selma discover that hope--and two hands twined tightly together--can be the key to keeping two people alive.

  • Empowered Living Requires More Than Theology From NASA Engineer Steven Cole
Catch the Wave: Experience the Thrill of Spirit Empowered Living, he shares his view that the Holy Spirit is not meant to remain a vague doctrine sitting at the edges of church life, but the active, guiding presence of God in the everyday life of believers. Cole says the modern church often talks about God the Father and Jesus while neglecting the Holy Spirit, even though the Spirit is presented as God’s presence, God’s voice, and God’s power on earth.
Catch the Wave begins with Cole’s own life story, because it serves as the foundation for everything that follows. He describes a lonely childhood marked by bullying, dyslexia, and a sense of being out of place. His first awareness of God comes in a small, almost ordinary moment. His main message is that ministry is not reserved for a select few. In his words, the whole point is that “you can minister, too.”

This episode is solely dedicated to Jeffery Archer whose voice will forever be heard not only in recorded conversations but through every words he patiently planted on the surface of a giving tree.  -Missed Opportunity-I love sharing conversations.  Hosting requires show prep.  My podcasting platforms feature thousands of guests.  What you don’t have access to are the missed opportunities. The show prep was completed.  The conversation didn’t happen.  I keep all my notes! Paths will cross again.  Let me explain Missed Opportunity.  It’s my questions and statements without their answers.  I’m leaving open enough space at the end of each question hoping they’ll download the talk and insert their answers.Missed Opportunity is a lost piece of history.  Like a message in a bottle tossed out to sea. I hope to locate a destination…  This week we’re putting focus on my missed opportunity is with visionary and author Jeffery Archer.

  • Seth Rogen, Ben Stiller, Melissa McCarthey Funny Business From Movie Historian Matt Singer
A celebration of a generation of iconic comedies-the raunchy, blockbuster "Frat Pack" films of the early 2000s-and a no-holds-barred look at their rise and fall in Hollywood, the effects of which can still be felt in the fractured media landscape of todayIf you were a moviegoer in the early aughts, you had a front-row seat to a golden age of comedy. Ben Stiller, Seth Rogen, Will Ferrell, Owen Wilson, Steve Carell, and Vince Vaughn became unlikely leading men-a band of rowdy wedding crashers, hungover bachelors, and 40-year-old virgins dubbed the "Frat Pack" that took Hollywood by storm over the span of a single decade. Then, seemingly overnight, Frat Pack movies vanished. Or did they?In Funny Business, award-winning author and film critic Matt Singer traces the path these gonzo stars and directors took from the fringes of comedy to the mainstream-beginning on tiny stages like Second City and the Groundlings, then infiltrating into talent incubators like SNL, eventually leading to the big screen. Along the way, he shares insider stories of the films that raised a generation, including: The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Zoolander, Borat, Anchorman, Old School, and The Hangover. How did these movies and their stars come to dominate a generation of moviemaking? Who won-and who was left out-of this comedy boom? And can studio comedies make a comeback in our modern digital and streaming world?Funny Business points the way forward to a (possible) new future for cinema-never forgetting that the audience always gets the last laugh.

  • The Daily Mess Why Do Preachers Pretend To Be Healers Plus Do They Still Travel
I’m always asking questions.  The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Such as…   Why do faith healers whap people upside the head and shout out heal!!!  Plus, are there still traveling medicine shows in the United States?   I’m Arroe…  I am a daily writer.  A silent wolf.  I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate.  I call it The Daily Mess.  A chronological walk through an everyday world.  Yes, it’s my morning writing.  As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw it to the side and deal with it later.  When a subject arrives, I dig in.  It’s still keeping a journal!  By doing the research the picture becomes clearer.  This is the Daily Mess…
