Growing up in Selma, Ala., Asher was surrounded by gospel singers. President Obama went to Selma in 2015 for a speech commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 1965 march from Selma to Montgomery in honor of African-American civil rights. Asher auditioned for a spot in the choir that was set to perform John Legend's song "Glory." The choir director was so blown away by Asher that Asher led the choir that day, performing in front of 200,000 people. This was also a turning point for his relationship with his father, whom he's always had a complicated relationship with. A couple of years ago, his father survived a car accident and their relationship grew even stronger. They now talk regularly and he greatly supports Asher's music. It was Asher's mom who really pushed him to sing when he was young. He likes to call her his singing sergeant and is excited to make her proud on "The Voice."

After making history as the official first female Doctor Who for three seasons, Jodie Whittaker now stars in the BBC's 3-part women's prison drama "TIME" on BritBox."TIME" began as an award-winning, ratings blockbuster series set in a men's prison and distinguished by Sean Bean's tour de force lead performance."The wonderful thing about this 'TIME,'" Whittaker, 41, said in a Zoom interview from London, "is that it's got the same creative team behind it. So everyone knows the quality. But as far as a standalone, it's a completely individual piece. You don't need to have seen one to have seen the other. "But also it is fascinating to see how different in the UK the prison system is for male prisoners and female prisoners. They're completely different because the systems are different. And also the storylines." This "TIME" rather than showcasing one prisoner intertwines the storylines of three: Whittaker's Orla O'Riordan, a single mother, Abi (Tamara Lawrance), who is in for life and Kelsey (Bella Ramsey), pregnant, a heroin addict and repeat offender.

At the age of 11, Frank appeared on the singing competition shows "Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento" and "La Voz Kids" as a Mariachi-style soloist. However, he also faced cyberbullying and assumptions about his sexuality as he was in the spotlight, making him hesitant to express himself due to his conservative upbringing. Music became his solace and he gained the confidence to embrace his true self over time. Eventually, Frank came out to his parents and received their full support. Frank's passion for music stemmed from his Grammy Award-winning musician father falling in love with Mariachi music. He performed extensively with his school's Mariachi band and cherished those experiences. During his senior year of high school in 2020, Frank became involved in social justice activism, establishing a Gay Straight Alliance chapter and organizing a successful pride festival. Frank now attends Columbia University and balances singing in his free time.

Alyssa is a self-proclaimed cat lady. When Alyssa is not performing on stage, you can usually find her at home with her fiancé, five cats and puppy. Alyssa loves to write songs and sometimes serenade her animals with her music. Having grown up around singers, Alyssa's mother had a deep connection to music and started her own karaoke business when Alyssa was just a kid. Alyssa enjoyed karaoke throughout most of her life, and when she was in her early 20s decided to start a band. Putting out an ad on Craigslist for more band members was just the start of her current band, WildCard. All the other band members are men in their 50s, but she enjoys holding her own as the only woman on the stage
