Arroe Collins Like It's Live

Rae Cline draws us into the story of a thirteen-year-old girl seeking to escape her abusive, alcoholic, charismatic father and desperate to protect her mother. Set in 1985 in Harpers Ferry and Jolo, West Virginia, it’s a story anchored in the promise of Reagan, the fear of AIDS, the songs of Patti Smith, Cyndi Lauper and Tina Turner heard through a Walkman, and other signs of its time and place. It’s also a universal and ongoing story about poverty, addiction, religious charlatans, sexual predators, and how children are made to suffer for the sins of their parents. Yet Cline’s debut novel is far from bleak. As told through the eyes of its remarkable young heroine, PRECIOUS UGLY is ultimately a story about the everyday marvels of tenacity and resourcefulness, the kindness of strangers, and the possibility of breaking the cycle of domestic violence and generational trauma.

I’m always asking questions.  The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Such as…   What if we truly are living in the days of the anti-Christ?  Plus…why do we spend so much time assuming we know other people’s lives?    I’m Arroe…  I am a daily writer.  A silent wolf.  I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate.  I call it The Daily Mess.  A chronological walk through an everyday world.  Yes, it’s my morning writing.  As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw it to the side and deal with it later.  When a subject arrives, I dig in.  It’s still keeping a journal!  By doing the research the picture becomes clearer.  This is the Daily Mess…

Do you believe in resurrections?  They happen every day.  But are you willing to listen, to participate, to explore and find newer ways to understand your personal journey? This podcast isn’t about what we study and see through the eyes of religion. My Boy Boy Ernie spoke with me every chance we had together.  But this isn’t about resurrecting a spiritual brother of nearly 34 years.  This resurrection is that of a writing instrument. Verbal documentation of what some may call a vision quest.  Trusting the great mysteries of life.  Tools are handed to us to carve out each expectation.  This tool was laid to rest inside a forest floor.  To experience the elements of reality while connecting with a universe that unconditionally shares its stories.  But whose writing it?  Welcome to The Resurrection…

Who really does have the best hot dogs?  And why?  Plus, camping used to be the great escape until popularity took over.  Now it's unbelievably expensive!

No business is safe. No matter where you work, the new business model is to rid the system of its excess weight. Fire, layoff or cut the hours of the employees required to make business a success. Number crunchers don't see eye to eye with the images now tarnished by the American ego and its addiction to employee mistreatment and a bonus check managers will be rewarded with by accepting bad performances for cost cutting accounting numbers. How does the injured employee get back on their feet. It's in the mirror.

I’m always asking questions.  The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Such as…   Why are high school graduates deciding to take a year off from furthering their education or just not making the investment to start?  Plus…teenagers.  Go ahead roll your eyes, why are they gathering in such large groups and don’t mind breaking the rules and getting arrested?   I’m Arroe…  I am a daily writer.  A silent wolf.  I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate.  I call it The Daily Mess.  A chronological walk through an everyday world.  Yes, it’s my morning writing.  As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw it to the side and deal with it later.  When a subject arrives, I dig in.  It’s still keeping a journal!  By doing the research the picture becomes clearer.  This is the Daily Mess…
