From former Wall Street Journal technology reporter Tripp Mickle comes the highly-anticipated book AFTER STEVE: How Apple Became a Trillion-Dollar Company and Lost Its Soul, a dramatic, behind-the-scenes tale of the tech giant's struggles following Steve Jobs's death, revealed through the career arcs of top lieutenants - Chief Designer Jony Ive and Chief Executive Tim Cook - whose differing visions for Apple's future altered its identity.
Jobs called Ive his "spiritual partner" and considered the British designer to be the second-most powerful person at Apple. A creative force, Ive embodied Jobs's spirit and designed products that literally changed the world: the iPod, iPhone, iPad. Following the death of his friend and longtime collaborator, he wrestled with grief and threw himself into work on Apple's headquarters and smartwatch, even as he became increasingly displaced inside a company devoted more to margins than inspiration.

Which means the story also deeply explores limerence - the pursuit of bonding, romantic love of the sort that lies behind love-at-first-sight and most classic Broadway shows…

MONKEY BUSINESS is a novel of ideas - and a deep, modern look at human psychology - wrapped up inside a magical, mysterious love story set within a realistic story about a Hollywood TV shoot in Florida.
