Episode 62: Cities Caught In Change
Dan Buettner is the founder of Blue Zones, an organization that helps people live longer, healthier lives. His highly anticipated first cookbook, The Blue Zones Kitchen, is filled with 100 recipes inspired by Blue Zones around the world where people live the longest. He presently live in the Miami area and I wanted to hear how the city looks as experienced by the locals.
VH1’s hit reality series T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle explores the home life of Grammy-winning rapper “T.I.” and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris with their six children. They are no strangers to the spotlight. Even with the Covid 19 pandemic adding pressure to the everyday, we’re still talking marital troubles, social media backlash and ongoing controversy or should I say drama?
During season 18 of NBC’s The Voice we met up with Tate Brusa who’s been singing his entire life. You’ll remember him for his raspy tone which he got from damaging his vocal cords when he was young. Tate dedicates a lot of his time to his original music. We talked out a new movement of sound caused by Coronavirus. Maybe grunge? What’s growing in and around Salt Lake City?

Episode 61: Back To The Basement With Wang Chung
Manic Merch and Abducted by the 80s are ready to put the frontline first. It’s the 80s event of the summer! A virtual concert in support and celebration of doctors, nurses, first responders and health-care workers.
At-home performances that include A Flock Of Seagulls, Wang Chung, Naked Eyes, Animotion, Cutting Crew, Nu Shooz and so many more. Saturday, June 13 th on Facebook Live. There will be two screenings the first day with artists participating in the online chat room with fans. Afterthose screenings, the show will be available on YouTube.
A link has been set up for people to make donations directly to Direct Relief. Plus they’ll be selling limited edition merch from many of the artists appearing on the broadcast.

Two of the biggest features on the flat screen this weekend were written and produced to have all out theater success. The good news is that Hollywood knows where we are. At home fully aware of where to land a movie on demand and we have enough cha ching in our pockets to pay the bucks for it. Pete David as a lead in a movie? Talk about watching a kid grow up on television! From Saturday Night Live to a full feature that's pretty much about his own life. Ryan Jay talks about the film and why its a great investment for the weekend but don't go to it thinking you're getting a gut full of funny. It's a serious movie. The movie is called The King Of Staten Island. If you aren't in the mood for heavy and need something along the lines of Harry Potter meeting James Bond, I totally got that from Ryan. So credit to him. Artemis Fowl has hit Disney+. I talked with the creator of the stories this past week and totally got into how down to earth Eoin Colfer is. Episode 60: #Imjustakid
In 2002, the group Simple Plan catapulted into the pop-punk spotlight with their infectious debut “I’m Just A Kid” 18 years later, the song has thrusted back into global action with the viral #ImJustAKid challenge on the short form video platform TikTok.
It has family members posing together to recreate a vintage childhood photo with the song’s iconic chorus serving as the soundtrack. The challenge has led to over three million videos, garnering over 2.7 billion views on TikTok

Episode 59: Ghost Road Beyond The Driverless Car
That’s the name of the new book from Anthony Townsend. Why would such a book be brought up during a pandemic? Because the full view of what’s going to be driverless in the days and years after Covid-19 doesn’t really match the dreams so many were seeing before its arrival.

Anthony is an Urban planning expert. He knows a lot about the new look of the fast approaching future. Integrating driverless vehicles into society. Technology has a completely different view since Covid-19. Revolutionizing business. Mobile warehouses, ghost restaurants and drastic changes in trucking and shipping. He also delves into the financial challenges faced by cities and states that will no longer have revenue from parking fees or traffic fines.

That new normal everybody keeps talking about. When you get there we should expect to start seeing less people yet more processing.
