Badon couldn't make it to the latest episode of AWD, but his spirit remains. We start off the episode talking about NJ diners and how "good" their food is. Eventually, we discuss how our Thanksgiving was and the heated discussion Nuno's family had. We then go down a multitude of topics such as rumors for the Joker 2, politics, and end it off with the Cyber Truck and the Devil's Tree.

This episode of AWD is NSFW. Listener discretion is advised.... Anyway, we read a graphic “love” scene that Badon wrote for his and Nuno’s screenplay. We also talk a bit about how men write women in literary works. We close out with some school stuff on Nuno’s mind.

We go all out this week with a talk consisting of El Chapo's reign, China, art, nerdy games, and movies -- Martin Scorsese's comment on Marvel movies. David and Bryan talk about their trip to a haunted house and that spurs a talk on "fake friends" which drives Badon nearly insane. Badon and Nuno talk a bit about their screenplay and how graphic and erotic one of the scenes are. Next week is a very special Halloween episode of As We Digress where each of us chose our top 5 favorite horror movies.

What did you think about the Joker movie?

The four of us saw the new Joker movie and spend a while chatting about it. We explore the ins and outs of the film — the plot itself, theories about the eponymous character, and what we dug most from the film. Badon also brings up a Spanish film he watched in NYC last week, “Pain and Glory”. A film about an aging director in Spain played by Antonio Banderas.

P.S. Listeners! Stay tuned for the Halloween episode in a couple of weeks.

We start off with some heavy TV talk. Jimmy Kimmel’s interview with Joaquin Phoenix, Orphan Black and it’s audiobook sequel, and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Then we segue into old metal music and the technology of our childhood. Starting from a few jokes directed at Bryan by Nuno, a very long veganism talk arises. So if you don’t want to listen to that...skip the last 40 minutes.

This week on AWD, we start with school talk — Badon’s recent class and books we like. And of course, we talked about the impeachment inquiry of Benito Cheeto. We then foray into some comedy talk and the occasional consequences of political correctness with comedians. Later, we spend a long time chatting about how college sucks; it’s expensive and often has careless and incompetent professors. We close with some comic Joker talk.

Has your car battery ever died on you? Have you ever had a flat tire? We share some car stories like these as well as talk about our cars -- in particular...Bryan's minivan. After we talk about life, our jobs, and school for a bit, we get to some real talk. David brings up some PSA's about school shootings and it leads us down a rabbit hole. A conversation on bullying and safety segues into 13 Reasons Why and how graphic the show is. We also touch on the possible conspiracies surrounding the Kevin Spacey accusers.
