More and more, college coaches and recruiters are trying to uncover the mental state of their current student-athletes, as well as the prospects they are looking to bring into their programs.

On this episode of the College Recruiting Weekly podcast, Dan Tudor talks with former D1 athlete and consultant to athletes Lauren Ammon. Lauren works with this generation of student-athletes to help them maximize their performance through better mental health, deal with the pressures of life as an athlete, and remove roadblocks as they try to achieve their athletic goals.

We talked with her about how to identify athletes on a team that might be struggling with mental health and stress, as well as assessing the prospects you recruit so that you can determine if they showing glimpses of a personality type you may not want in your program, or struggling with a mental health need you might want to be aware of before bringing them on campus.
