I can follow the teachers and read all the posts, 

Do asanas ‘til I’m all tired out. 

But until I sit still, close my eyes and breathe, 

I won’t know what it’s all about.

Namaste New Paradigmers!

After recording this week's report today I changed the mantra from “yoga” to “asanas.” I did this because there are actually eight limbs (branches) of yoga, and I am specifically referring to “asanas,” which are the postures commonly used in Hatha yoga, the most popular form of yoga in the “west.” I’m saying this because, fundamentally, yogic asanas are/were intended to prepare the body to meditate. However, as yoga has become almost a fashion (show) in the west it is now done like exercise without meditating at all! 

This fits right in with what I discuss today as the west being more yang/masculine/action/external while the east is more yin/feminine/being/internal. As such, it may do westerners well to “go east,” and easterners well to “go west!” We’re really just talking about balance, like day/night, Aries/Libra, Taurus/Scorpio, Gemini/Sag etc. The closer we get to center when balancing these polarities, the closer to “enlightenment” I believe we are. Let’s do it! 

No matter what, I just hope that this week you can take some time out to empty your brain a little, enter the "void," and let that void be filled with cosmic love and light! We have this beautiful kite formation with Mercury at the tail (release point), so it's a great time for revelation, inspiration, creative downloads, communication, and sharing all that comes through your meditations. We don't need to go "out" to find Spirit as the Spirit dwells within. Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo!
