The Colorado Avalanche move to 5-0-0 on the season with a 6-4 win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday. The power play stepped up big, going 3 for 5 and the penalty kill remained hot by killing 4 of the Canes 5 power plays.

The depth lines contributed as well. Fredril Oloffson potted a goal, while Logan O'Connor found the net once again short handed. His 3rd SH in as many games. Can he make it 4 in a row to tie the NHL record? We will find out Tuesday!

There have been two homes games so far this year at Ball Arena, and for both of those games we have not heard "All the Small Things" by Blink-182. The song that has been synonymous with the Colorado Avalanche. It appears to have been retired. Why we are ok with this.
