With pride we welcome the return of Timeline Music boss, Keith Anderson for his third contribution to the Avenue Red series. This is a seriously tight mix that proves what a great DJ Keith is, both in terms of his technical aptitude and his tastefulness and creativity in the selection, which in this case is almost exclusively made of new 2019 releases.

This is a good moment to mention that for the new year and decade in 2020, Avenue Red will begin a new live video-stream show on Keith's Timeline Music platform, which is also home to shows from other Avenue Red titans including Verdant Recordings, OHM, Mihail P, Stephen Sherdel and Josh Lentink. Alec Pritchard will be hosting the show on the first Tuesday of each month from 8pm-10pm GMT. The shows will also be published here on the Avenue Red SoundCloud page for those who cannot tune in live, with full tracklists included.

Avenue Red presents a veteran music digger and DJ, Nemanja Stanojcic, who hails from the town of Vrnjačka Banja in Serbia. A guy whose classy mixes we have been tracking for a while... his consistently dazzling selections of sublime deep house and techno are always put together with lots of thought and emotion. This mix is arguably one of his finest to date, one that really does grow on the listener with repeat listens. A set of tracks that capture a wonderful breezy autumnal atmosphere for us all to get lost in.

Avenue Red presents Wellbeck, a top quality creator and purveyor of deep, dubbed out house and techno sounds. This mix is an expertly crafted, almost shamanic trip through all manner of moody, dark, industrial soundscapes, underpinned with solid grooves all the way.

"My name is Lev Golikov AKA Wellbeck. I was born in the south of Russia, Krasnodar city to be precise. With my friend I recorded several releases on the label Pro-Tez, which is based in LA, USA. I played on the same stage with Anton Kubikov, Alex Danilov, OID and with the guys from Gost Zvuk. I also played DJ sets at parties ARMA and Techno Makes Sense.

For this episode of the Avenue Red Podcast we have another seasoned eastern German DJ taking over, this time DJ Tripadvisor from the city of Leipzig. Here this mysterious selector has put together a spellbinding, magically worked selection of deep, minimal house and techno records. The focus of the first half is on minimalistic, rhythmic, dubby intricacy, the latter half opening up into a beautiful abyss of tripped-out melodic deepness.

"This vinyl-only mix was recorded in one take without any pre-selection, like all of my mixes. The creative concept is to transport the intention to get on a timeless (musical) trip. But in a sensitive and human way... individual, non-linear with ups and downs, right and left turns.

In retrospect, when I re-listen to the mix by myself, I can imagine to be on a train ride with different landscapes, stops, weather situations or be on open-water to ride waves, or just flying up high and away to the stars on a flying saucer ;)

One of our favourite underground heroes from Berlin, the ultimate digger-selector known as Estimulo - with his long-running, cult-status online show of the same name - has delivered an intense payload of his records in an impeccably blended mix for Avenue Red. This man is a real treasure of the underground: almost unknown beyond it, yet widely known and loved within it.

Now and since Avenue Red began in 2013, one of the impressum lines reads: "We aim to push DJ's and artists based solely upon the quality of their output, the refinement of their taste and their dedication to the music.". Trust us, you really cannot go wrong with this guy if this is the criterion you're truly here for. We will not attempt to categorise or define anything further, so Estimulo takes over from here using a few words and about 20 unreal sonic shurikens. Let the bass kick!!

"My preferred way of approaching a mix is in the most personal way I can. In times when we get overwhelmed by vast amounts of new mixes and tracks, every day I think it's the only way for me to do it. Everyone is already playing the hot new stuff and the charts of big DJ's so the B2 tracks of long lost treasures are definitely the way to go for me. Often people tell me that they don't know any of the records I played and that's the best compliment I can get. That doesn't necessarily mean to get lost in obscurity, the joy of the music and the digging while also making people dance (we are about dance music aren't we?) and maintaining the deepness is important for me.

The most interesting tracks to me are the ones for which you struggle to find a description or put them in a drawer. Is it techno, is it house, is it IDM or electro? So this mix was no different, there's a leaning towards the early 90s 'UK bleep sound' but that's just the starting point from where it can go in all directions. Genre names have never been of interest to me, so this one might well take you through 10 different genres while at the same time feeling monolithic. I hope y'all feel the same!" For Avenue Red Podcast episode 139 we welcome Leeds-born and bred selector Barry Duke AKA Sputnik. Without doubt he is one the finest electro pilots out there, having a knowledge of the genre that is as vast as his music collection. Technically adept, his mixes are always fluid, free-flowing and exciting strides through the wilderness of true underground electro and techno, both old and new.

"I'm a Leeds-based DJ who predominately plays techno and electro and has spun at various Leeds nights including the much-missed, by those who used to attend, Detatched, Future-Past, Tensile, Bistro Techno and Axiom. I've been a follower of Avenue Red for a few years now and was thinking of creating (or is it 'curating' nowadays?) a Detroit-flavoured mix that would fit in with the vibe I was getting from the mixes I'd listened to. I was hoping Alec would like the mix and host it.

Avenue Red welcomes Buenos Aires-based Damian Miranda AKA Dami Darko, a guy who has been an underground warrior of his country for the past 15 years, both as a DJ and a promoter. Damian has worked on a range of independent projects where he has made strong contributions to an increasingly rich scene in the Argentinian capital city that is dubbed "The Paris of Latin America".

Classic Airlines has been his main platform for the last 6 years, a project that was started around 9 years ago together with his underground cohort Violett. This duo have managed to book and play alongside some amazing artists such as Juan Atkins, Delano Smith, Steve O'Sullivan, Mike Shannon, Deadbeat, Oshana, Cabanne, Andrey Pushkarev, Varhat, Janeret and Roger Gerressen, just to name a few.

In this mix Dami Darko showcases some of the sounds that characterise Classic Airlines, with clear dubby references and flirting between the limits of house and techno - always of the deep variety.
