The Colorado Avalanche head west for the next few games, with the first one being against an upstart Arizona Coyotes team that can no longer be taken for granted. The Avs have struggled somewhat against Arizona in years past, so how will they fare against a team that is clearly much better than the teams that gave the Avs a run? Should be an exciting game.

What hasn't been exciting recently is the NHL All-Star Weekend. Nobody really seems to care, including the players. So what does the NHL do? Go out and add an extra day.
