We all know the Colorado Avalanche have a pretty thin prospect pool, but that doesn't mean they don't have guys they are anxiously waiting for to make their debut. Nikolai Kovalenko is easily their #1 prospect and word spread over the weekend that he is close to signing a deal with the Avs.

Kovalenko would have to finish this season in the KHL, but would come to the Avs when that season is over, usually in March. Which will be a very interesting time of the season to join the squad. We discuss.

We also put our guessing caps on and guess if we think four players, Samuel Girard, Devon Toews, Artturi Lehkonen and Val Nichushkin, will go over or under a specific number in points for this year.
