Many brands are becoming myopic. They’ve stopped thinking outside of their own sphere. Bill Harper believes that this was made worse by the pandemic. Everyone froze like deer in headlights. The problem is that brands are starting to act like commodities. They’re all touting the same thing: “We have better product, better people, we work harder, we care more…” That has absolutely nothing to do with thinking big. They somehow believe the passion for their business will bleed through to the other side and will engage the consumer. It’s an interesting problem that’s been getting worse. In this episode, we talk about the right way to think bigger with your brand. Check it out!
Many people are familiar with macro-influencers, i.e., celebrities, athletes, or the contestants kicked off the Bachelor trying to launch their career. Macro-influencers usually have hundreds of thousands to millions of followers. On the flip side, macro-influencers may have between 100,000 to 450,000 followers. According to Taylor Lagace—the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Kynship—they can be just as effective.
Any industry will have those people that are recognizable by face, and some are recognizable at the celebrity level. But the nano and the micro-influencers can still be effective. You just have to find the niche you’re trying to attack. So how do you do that? What’s the best way to use influencers to market your brand? Listen to this episode of Content Callout to hear Taylor’s strategies.

Patriarchy is made up of two Latin words, meaning “father power” or “ruling “father.” Jake Stika—the co-founder and Executive Director of Next Gen Men—notes when we look at society, we see examples of patriarchal structures. It could be familial, with the father as the breadwinner and protector. It could be systemic, with monarchies and lords.
In modern times, one of the two spheres where the most power is held is Fortune 500 companies. Only 32 out of 500 CEOs are female (7%), so it’s easy to see the power is still patriarchal. Global heads of state are still only 7% female representation. People don’t believe we exist in a patriarchy, but it’s easy to demonstrate. Everyone is affected by these structures. How do we change that? Why is change so necessary? Listen to this episode of Content Callout for a deep, eye-opening, and important conversation about redefining the roles of men in society.
