The setup: A company has booked Santa for a charity event they're organising in a shopping mall.

Whackhead plays this guy and calls the organiser ahead of the event to confirm a few details. 

Moments into the call, Santa confesses that he's not allowed to charge for his appearance. He's been recently released from jail and the event forms part of his community service. 

Things get considerably worse when he explains that the reason he was behind bars but the icing on the Christmas cake is when Santa inquires about the number of smoke breaks he can take while on the job!
