Bannerman Resources (ASX: BMN) - The WNA Nuclear Fuel Report

Listen Later

Interview with Brandon Munro, CEO of uranium company Bannerman Resources.

Brandon Munro was on the team who put the WNA Fuel Report together. The Nuclear Fuel Report looks at the entire nuclear fuel cycle. It starts with uranium, through conversion, enrichment and fuel fabrication and secondary supply. But it also needs a demand picture. Brandon was the co-Chair of the Demand committee. The nuclear industry uses the report, policy makers and reference tool for the financial sector.

The feedback is largely very positive about the changes that have been made to the report. It had lost its credibility. There was a lot of economic data missing and miners perspective was missing. So a lot of work has gone in to the new format report. It does not include uranium pricing data because of anti-competitive concerns. So why is the WNA Nuclear Fuel Report important? What does the report tell the market? How influential is it? It's been put together by industry players. So not entirely independent but probably more realistic. We discuss the tussle between the buyers and sellers in the uranium market. HEAR Brandon Munro explain why it is important to investors, the market and how it impacts uranium companies.

Brandon also gives us a unique insight in to the Japanese inventory story that surfaced recently. Worth a listen on its own as to how stories percolate. Heard of perfumed uranium? And of course, defabrication?

Bannerman Resources is a very large Namibian uranium asset. The largest undeveloped DFS project in the world. Pilot plant programme has been run. they understand how to build and produce the project. The DFS was completed in 2012. It says they can produce +7Mlbs pa. Can they raise the capital to build the project at the point when the make the decision to get into production. They have environmental and social approvals. They need c.$700M and will take 3yrs to get in to production from confirmation of financing. Brandon says his only concern is uranium price as that allows them to show the economic viability as part of the mining permit process. they have not started any conversations with financiers. What do you think of his explanation? Leave your comments.

We ask him what the end game is? He talks about how he thinks this project gets financed. Can they mitigate dilution. He paints a picture of how they potentially exit. Have a listen and let us know if that makes sense to you. So much learning in this. A smart individual with a frightening understanding and interpretation of the uranium market. We could listen all day to him. You'll enjoy the next 38 mins.
