Banyan Gold is focused on advancing two Yukon gold properties, the Hyland Gold Project and the Aurex-McQuesten Gold Project.
The 100% owned Hyland Gold Project is located in the Watson Lake Mining District in southeast Yukon, approximately 74 kilometres northeast from the town of Watson Lake within the traditional territory of the Liard First Nation, part of the Kaska Nations. The Project consists of 927 active Yukon registered quartz mineral claims totalling over 18,620 hectares in an area that is currently accessible by vehicles on a winter road from Watson Lake.
The AurMac Gold Project (formerly the Aurex-McQuesten Gold Project) is located in the Mayo Mining district, approximately 56 kilometres northeast from the village of Mayo and 356 kilometres north of Whitehorse, within the traditional territory of the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyak Dun (NND). The Aurex claim block was acquired from Victoria Gold Corp. and the McQuesten claim block Project was acquired from Alexco Resource Corp with Banyan having the right to earn up to a 100% interest subject to royalties.
Banyan is rapidly advancing their AurMac project and they have 2 drills turning currently. They have gone from an initial resource announced last June of 900,000oz and have drilled almost 30,000m since then and continue to drill and expand the project further.
Banyan Gold has recently announced a $16M non-broker private placement agreement to get them through a significant resource update and then a PEA. This money will get them through the considerable exploration programme planned for 2022 and well into 2023.
Banyan Gold will allocate $13.5M to exploration drilling towards a resource update planned for Q1, 2022 and then move on to the PEAs. The majority of the money will go to AurMac with a little spent on Hyland. The resource targets will increase once results return from Powerline and they are targeting over 2Moz which they consider to be a critical threshold for a Yukon project to be standalone.
