Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to: Recognize the unmet therapeutic needs of patients with locally advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (LA SCCHN); Describe the rationale for targeting inhibitor of apoptosis proteins (IAPs) in the development of novel therapies for LA SCCHN; and Review the clinical impact of emerging IAP antagonists in the treatment of LA SCCHN, based on the preliminary efficacy and safety data.
