Join Karaleigh in an interview with the unstoppable Rebekah Hope.
Author, Speaker, and Relationship Coach, Rebekah is originally from a small Amish community in Northern Michigan. Having experienced various types of abuse as a child and feeling trapped in an environment that nearly took her life, Rebekah chose to leave the Amish life behind at 17 years old, including everything and everyone she knew, and traveled across the country with only the clothes on her back and a few dollars in her pocket. Apart from the major culture shock, Rebekah experienced life in ways some would deem unimaginable. She found a new meaning to life and vowed to herself and to the next generation that she would use her story to help as many people as possible. Today Rebekah has done that through her book, Beyond the Brokenness, and by becoming a Certified Life Coach, specializing in personal development to help people through the most challenging parts of their lives. Rebekah coaches from personal experience as well as from professional education in psychology and mental health. Rebekah strongly believes there is hope for all and she is bringing that hope to anyone who is willing to stop and hear her voice.
Rebekah’s Motto: Do what you can, with what you have, from where you are, because, there is
HOPE FOR ALL!
Favorite takeaways:
1. When you hit rock bottom, where are you gonna go? You have no way but up.
2. If I could summarize it into one sentence, I would say: It wasn’t me, it was Jesus. I couldn’t have done any of this if it wouldn’t have been for Him. I can’t sit here and not give Him all the credit because it’s not my story, it’s His, and He continues to write, and I continue to share it, because that’s what I’m called to do.
3. You just have to really, really know what you want and not stop at anything until you have it, but your want has to serve more than just you. So if you want the right thing and you don’t stop until you get it, you will serve so many people in the process. Then you will feel very fulfilled because it’s what you’re called to do.
4. Every single person who is living and breathing is a miracle, and that is just undoubted. If you know where you come from, you will know it is a miracle you are on this earth.
5. When I was five my mom planted the seed: What she said is just ask Jesus into your heart and He will help you.
6. Regardless of where I go, I am going to be able to find Jesus and He is going to help me in my darkest hour.
7. Look inside and see what can you do with what you have from where you are. And when you do that, you will be astounded by the things you actually have the power to do. And in doing that, you will sooner or later find your way out, because that’s where the power lies. If you want power, that’s where it is, don’t go out in the world seeking for it- it is right there in your heart.
