  • How Podcasting Changed My World with Rayson Choo
Join Karaleigh in an interview with the epic Rayson Choo
Rayson Choo is dubbed as The Celebrity Whisperer. What he does is he picks the brains of the best entrepreneurs you have in this world, such as Gary Vee, Grant Cardone, etc. to find out from them what are some of the simple and effective steps that millennials can take to experience success in the swiftest and most effective way possible. He does that through his podcast "The Raygacy Show". The millennials who have listened to the podcast have experienced personal transformation because they have gotten the tips they need to move forward.
    Favorite takeaways:
    1. I totally believe in self-care, because if you don’t care for yourself, then how can you care for the others, especially your family members?
    2. You only have one life to live. You gotta find out what you want and then go and slowly and surely figure things out.
    3. It always takes time. Respect the time.
    4. Give yourself time to work on your craft. Remember you are one connection away from your goals and your dreams.
    5. Every journey will have its obstacles but you’ve got to remember to find that sunshine and go for your dreams and don’t ever give up.
    6. I believed the Universe would give me something. I told myself I would not give up.
You can find The Raygacy Show everywhere you listen to podcasts.

  • Learning How to Trust Yourself with Kath Grimmitt
Join Karaleigh in an interview with the lovely Kath Grimmitt.
Kath is an intuitive branding designer for people who help people. Her approach to branding and building brands is more holistic and based on staying connected and true to your values so that you can help people in your own unique way by being yourself! Developing tools and confidence to help others using your magic.
Formerly a fashion designer, Kath has navigated the intense world of the fashion industry, running her own fashion label to becoming an intuitive branding designer through trusting her own intuition and learning along the way. She believes we have all the answers, we just need to trust ourselves a little more to make the magic happen.
    Favorite takeaways:
    1. It doesn’t matter what your journey is, it’s actually valuing everything you’ve learned from it and then using that to move forward.
    2. Actually that was a catalyst for me doing everything I’ve done since- just really leaning in to trusting my gut, trusting my intuition, and being ok with standing by those decisions.
    3. When you make decisions based on your own intuition, it is so much easier to stick by them no matter what happens than if those decisions were based on some advice you got or what you were supposed to do.
    4. As a culture we don’t put enough power into ourselves- it’s so much easier to seek outside counsel and trust outside things.
    5. There’s plenty of other people doing the same thing as you, but nobody is going to do it the same way you do it.
    6. There’s never only one way to do something.
    7. Trusting your situation and trusting yourself allows you to move on to the next thing.
    8. Trust that it’s going to be ok. Trust that there is light at the end of the tunnel even if you can’t see it yet. Just keep taking a couple more steps and trust that you are going to see that light even if you are surrounded by darkness.
    9. Trust the power of your journey.
    10. Everybody has trials and tribulations and it’s how you choose to deal with it and how you move forward from that to find sunshine and help others find sunshine too.

  • Finding Purpose When Your Dreams Don’t Come True with Rianna Hijlkema
Join Karaleigh in a remarkable interview with Rianna Hijlkema. Rianna is a multi-passionate serial entrepreneur living a nomadic life for the past 11 years. Traveling to 40+ countries and working on four continents has taught her to approach life (and business) with resourcefulness and resilience.
But, nothing could have prepared her for involuntary childlessness. The rollercoaster of emotions is hard to grasp for the outside world.
Nowhere could she find women who understood the challenges she was facing, so she went through most of it alone. Rianna figured out how to thrive and made it her life’s mission to help others do the same through speaking, writing and her walking & hiking retreats for women who are childless not by choice. Favorite takeaways: 1. He said something that I’ll never forget. He said, “You can do hard. You’ve done hard before.” 2. Accept. Acknowledge the situation. Focus on what you can control. Have expectations with compassion. Create positive feelings. Find your tribe. 3. It doesn’t look the way I wanted it to, but there is still a gift in this. There is still beauty in it even though it looks a different way. 4. Start chasing feelings instead of goals. 5. You cannot wait for other people to make you happy- it just doesn’t work like that. It needs to come from the inside, so you need to go inside and see what lights you up. 6. This is not the end. This is not the end of your story- there is so much beauty in the future. 7. Choosing is so powerful. Live a created life and don’t live by default. Really be conscious how you want to create your life, what you want it to look like, and do that. 8. We have only one lifetime and life is too short to waste it. This is now my time to start living. There’s gonna come a moment where you’re gonna step up and say now it’s time to live again. 9. I’m creating an extraordinary life despite not having what I wanted the most. It’s both. And it’s ok now. 10. We need to be heard in our stories, we need to be heard in our pain. That’s how we begin to dissolve it- as we are able to express it and be heard. Find more from Rianna at http://Riannahijlkema.com and Karaleigh at karaleighgarrison.com.

  • The Science of Feeling Good with John Slocum
Join Karaleigh in an interview with the incredible John Slocum. John is a complex trauma and stroke survivor who has used the power of breath and the mind to heal himself without the need for medications or supplements. He has written a book called "The Science of Feeling Good," in which he discusses the evidence-based methods that he used to heal and how others can use them to feel good instantly. Favorite takeaways: 1. To really find out who we are, we must recover from childhood trauma. 2. It all comes back to the power of love and harnessing this power, understanding this power, and every day will become like sunshine. Every day you’re glowing, you’re radiant, you’re smiling. 3. Our emotions are the most powerful thing we have. How we feel is everything. 4. Let’s getting popping- a pop start! The power of prayer, the power of persistence, the power of practice, and more importantly, the power of placebo. We understand what the placebo effect is- our mind literally has the power to heal us by itself. 5. A smile is the best investment you can make. 6. This is part of the journey- the happiness lies in the small things. 7. There’s no reason for any of us not to feel good because we understand from a scientific point of view, we understand from a spiritual point of view, we understand from ancient wisdom what’s necessary to feel good. We only have to practice that. 8. You can learn. You can change your life and be happy. Right now. You can be happy right now. Find John’s book “The Science of Feeling Good” on Amazon. • How Adventure Therapy Can Change Your Life with Scott & Nancy Kiesling
Join Karaleigh in an interview with the adventurous Scott and Nancy Kiesling! Scott & Nancy are relationship coaches. They use their unique method of adventure therapy to help people overcome their self-doubt and fears and build an ultimate relationship with themSELF first, so they can then attract in the love they’ve always desired.
After two years of marriage, Scott was involved in an accidental explosion at work, resulting in a brain injury, hearing loss, and vertigo. This drastically changed their life and the dynamic of their relationship causing them to create innovative tools and strategies to keep their relationship thriving and continue to create the life they dreamed to live. Today they share what they have learned with others so they can help people develop unshakeable self love, live their best life, and have amazing relationships.
Scott & Nancy continue to build online courses, speak at corporate events, and host esteem-building Adventure Therapy Retreats. They have multiplied their business by 10 fold in the last year working with high profile people such as supermodels, Hollywood actors/actresses, doctors, lawyers, realtors, and entrepreneurs. They have appeared on multiple podcasts, have been featured on The List TV, Authority Magazine, Wander Magazine, and Tony Robbins recently announced that he’d recommend them as coaches because “they’ve lived it!” Favorite takeaways: 1. As sailors, you’re never really on course. You don’t lose it, you shift one degree and get back on course. And when you think about one degree shifts over a length, over a distance, over a period of time, that shift is incredibly large. 2. In the challenges is where we get to have a growth spurt, it’s where we get to develop that sunshine, that light within us. 3. Are you going to stay angry? Are you going to stay in that place of resentment? Or are you going to find what it actually taught you and what the gift was? 4. Sometimes it just takes that hindsight to look back at those really horrific trials in our lives and go, oh actually I can see now how this was a miracle for my good, how this was actually meant to be, how this was just set up for my growth and my learning and for such a beautiful incredible future. 5. The light is there, I just have to take another step. Nobody can tell us how many steps it takes, but what I can tell you is that if we give up, we will find out that it was just one more step and the light was there, the door was there, the window was there for you. 6. I encourage everyone, no matter what you’re going through, no matter how bad it looks in your present moment, take that next step, take that next action. 7. Faith, for me, is about the belief that when I take that next step, it’s going to lead to that treasure, to that growth. 8. Every time you step out of your comfort zone it’s the fastest path to self growth. 9. Change your story, change your life. 10. Don’t deviate from Plan A. That next step is also called determination. We confuse the universe when we jump all over- just keep going after what it is that you deep down want, and it will start to show itself and work out. • Overcoming Jealousy with Shanenn Bryant
Join Karaleigh for an interview with the amazing Shanenn Bryant. Shanenn is an ACA (an adult child of an alcoholic) and understands the adult challenges that come from growing up in that environment.
After many years suffering from jealousy and insecurity in relationships, she is now a life coach and the host of the Jealousy Junkie podcast, helping others overcome jealousy, build confidence and reclaim their self-worth. Favorite takeaways: 1. We underestimate how much we can grow and what the future looks like. We think we are stuck in this moment and that what we already know is it- but we have so much potential for growth! 2. The things that we carry for years and years and years without taking inventory on them, all of those beliefs that we have- we need to go back and inventory that and go, is this still true? Is this still right? 3. The power of ONE: Open to a New Explanation, Experience, Evidence. 4. We can find evidence for whatever we think is true. You have a thought, you have a belief, you can find evidence that it’s true. So you have to flip the script and say, what if something else was true? And start teaching your brain to look for the evidence of the good things, of the joy. 5. The more that you talk about it and the more that you share your story and your pain, the more other people around you feel like they can do that too. 6. We need to come to our relationships with this understanding that we are both broken people- we are both not whole. The way we make this relationship work is by working on ourselves and making ourselves as whole and healed as we can and then being forgiving when we see the broken parts of our spouse. 7. The things that you’re going through, the thoughts that you have, as wild as they may seem- the chances are very high that there are other people out there that are experiencing what you’re experiencing and what you’re going through, so you’re really never alone. 8. Taking something I struggled with for decades and being able to turn that around and help other people short cut some of the things and help them to not feel so alone and understand their self worth- there’s nothing better in this world. That’s the sunshine. Find more from Shanenn at http://Jealousyjunkie.com and more from Karaleigh at karaleighgarrison.com.

  • Seeking Sunshine When Surgery Doesn’t Go as Planned with Nicki Joiner
Join Karaleigh in an interview with the resilient Nicki Joiner. Nicki has lived in eight states since graduating highschool. She has two degrees and two certificates in relevant fields of study and is a seasoned facilitator in her local community, an award winning entrepreneur, and leverages both formal and informal training to deliver engaging keynotes and workshops. Nicki has lost 95 pounds after having gastric sleeve surget eight months ago, where she experienced severe conplications and cheated death. She found sunshine in the small moments and in the people that helped her push through. Favorite takeaways: 1. In those moments I was like- maybe there’s a greater reason for this. Maybe there’s a greater reason why I’m here thinking about this and experiencing this the way that I am. 2. It’s about really being intentional with your life and intentional with caring for your own body. 3. As women, we are socially conditioned to be caregivers. It has taken a lot of unlearning and processing about how I can do that in a way that feels genuine but also feels right. 4. You can’t care for other people if you don’t first care for yourself. 5. I’ve just been really grateful for the opportunity to find out who I am and find out more about what that means for me. 6. That is my sunshine moment: focusing on my relationship with myself. 7. There is so much pain in the beauty, there’s so much heartbreak, there’s so much trauma wrapped up in the beauty, but somehow it makes the little sparkly parts sparkle better in comparison. 8. Don’t take for granted the people closest to you that want to see you win. Find Nicki on Instagram: @that’ssonicki, FB: Nicki Joiner, LinkedIn: Nicki Joiner. She is the author of Dream Life Planner: Move From Tired and Overwhelmed to Free and Empowered, co-author of Achieve Wellness and the pretty half of the Smiling Coaching Couple. We need to take advantage of the time we have and be the people we are supposed to be now and not worry about what’s coming. 3. It’s about filling your own tank and being healthy and happy in who you are so that you can give and be vibrant and be positive. 4. We can only control what we can control, but if we do what we’re supposed to do, which includes living in our passion and purpose, life will work out. 5. What is your dream? Let’s make it happen now. You shouldn’t have to put your dream on the “someday” list, you should be living the life you want to live now and build your life around making that happen. 6. When you feed your soul- when you follow that intuition and you take the path that feels right- how vibrant and beautiful and happy your energy is and that effects the people around you. It can lift them and it can bring them joy. The truth is that the more that you lift yourself, the more you’re lifting everyone around you. 7. God was involved every step of the way. The sunshine was there- you can see his hand in everything. 8. I can still breathe! I’m still here! I get to take advantage of the life that I have- that God has given me- to see the sun, to see the smiles on people’s faces. 9. Bring the sunshine! Be positive to others in your life. • Enhancing Communication and Relationships with Ann Visser
Join Karaleigh in an amazing interview with Ann Visser. For over 20 years, Ann has been equipping individuals and organizations to communicate in a way that aligns with their values so they can lead their families and their teams into a better life. She’s a certified John Maxwell Team coach, speaker and trainer at 4Better 4Ever. Ann has spoken to diverse audiences including marginalized women, married couples, businesswomen, business leaders, students, churches, Staff and addicts in recovery, and local and international students through Transformation Paraguay. Favorite takeaways: 1. The bravest and best thing you can to is to get the help you need. 2. Conflict is the doorway to intimacy, as “in-to-me-you-see.” 3. Our kids stand on our shoulders. They reap the benefits of the changes that we make and the growth we experience. 4. What our kids need most is that example of how to fight well and how to get through the conflict and how to communicate efficiently. So many of our kids have seen us make lots of mistakes and it’s so important for them to see us apologize and improve and learn and grow and be better progressively, because it’s never an all-at-once thing. 5. The best gift you can give your kids is to love your spouse. It’s just the best gift for them to see you working out real life together. 6. I’ve seen that faith really helps people through a difficult time. With that faith I’ve seen couples stay together in the midst of really difficult situations and that has given them strength and a power that they didn’t have on their own and it’s given them great courage and great bravery to have difficult conversations. 7. Our brain is like Velcro- it holds on to the negative and the positive slides off like Teflon. 8. God is the force behind the change. • Resilient Sunshine with Alissa Shirk
Join Karaleigh in an interview with the amazing Alissa Shirk! Alissa Shirk has been a resilience coach for ten years, and the host of her own podcast, "disSOLViNG fear", for a few months now! Her work, helping others build their resilience and dissolve fear, has in turn helped HER to seek sunshine during challenging times in her own life. Alissa believes that we often discover our OWN power, when we use our power to help someone else. She truly "found her sunshine" as a result of helping others find theirs. Favorite takeaways: 1. Sometimes when we’re helping others, we learn how to help ourselves. 2. Sometimes you just have to take that next right step and have faith that things are falling into place. You can’t see the entire path you’re on, but you can keep walking forward and keep up the forward momentum. 3. Our actions and our mindset is what moves us forward and opens doors. 4. I want us to think of life as a playground where we can maximize our potential and we don’t have to just react to life- we actually create our lives. 5. There is value in our dark times. 6. Rejection is God’s protection. Rejection is redirection. 7. Make sure that you are on the list. Make sure that your growth is a priority for you. Isn’t that the most important thing in our lives? To work on ourselves and become better people? But we often don’t prioritize that- we often think it’s the stuff I can check off my list that matters.
