Be With Me: 7 Minutes of Biblical Wonder episodes

  • FIRST CONTACT. Luke 7:1 (Episode #4)

The Virus came on us suddenly as far as the lock downs were concerned.  Be With Me: 7 Minutes of Biblical Wondering started right here.  My Pastor asked me to use a voice message to gather and keep our little fellowship together in a season when we could not meet together.  Honestly, I think the first few episodes are a little rough.

This was actually the first message in this series to our ABF Adult Bible Fellowship (Adult Sunday School class).  I started right were I was in my personal devotional time which happened to be Luke 7.   If starting in Luke 7 seems rather random, that is why.

Personally, I was in a devotional time of a chronological walk through the bible, so that generated the format for the rest of the Podcast.

There was no plan to ever make this into a real podcast to serve a wider audience.  That happened much much later.

Here is a little encouragement from Luke 7.

Centurion with the right attitude towards Jesus.  Please listen and then ACT.

  • HOW should I Listen to this PODCAST? (Episode #2)

HOW should I Listen to this PODCAST?  (Episode #2)

I know you have 7 minutes.
I also know you have a need:  You have a God that made you and knows you.  There is however,  a bit of a chasm in your reaching out to know Him.
This podcast might just be a nice tool to help you make that spiritual bridge.

Yes, I am handing out fish every morning.  But too, I am TEACHING, and example-ing, and showing habits, and giving techniques so that you too can fish.

You may have noticed that the Bible is frequently disturbing and unsettling.  There is lots in there that moves us off center.  "I don't like the Bible".  Fine, sometimes neither do I.  But then what?  Where do we go from that position?  What do we do when we don't like the Bible?  That's in here too.

How should you listen?  Daily. Or in clumps. However benefits you the best.  Doesn't matter where you start, but START.

Tomorrow, I'll give some episodes that you may consider starting with.

  • WELCOME! WHY Should I Listen to this Knucklehead? (Episode #1)

Welcome. Welcome.  Welcome.  I am SO GLAD that you are here!

You have questions.  Anybody with a little WONDER is a friend of mine.  Here are your big questions:

    1.  Why should I listen to this podcast?  Is it WORTH it?

    2.  What is Be With Me? Why 7 minutes?

    3.  Who is this guy?  Is he REALLY a knucklehead?  What might I get out of serially listening to a knucklehead in 7 minute chunks of my life?

    4.  How did this podcast come to be?  Does that story answer the question as to why the "production-value" of this podcast is so LOW?

Listen.  Be with me for 7 minutes as I answer your questions.  Then, come back tomorrow.
