We become the best The Who podcast when we dive into Who's Next? We become a Who's Next podcast.

We also become the best Meatloaf podcast when we get a call from Meatloaf. It turns out he says really dirty things!!

Aaron apologizes to his wife, and hates capitalism because he won't buy kitchen appliances because his cheap is fixing stuff.  Matt talkes our trip to Vegas, and Russ wakes up in an unfamiliar bed. Then Rob talks Miami Sound Machines while his wife is out of town.

Then we talk Keith Moon and the best drum fills while also touching on fleshlights.

NEXT WEEK: Next up, we are the best Elvis podcast as we talk about how if you died on the toilet I bet your hand falls in. It's Elvis: The Sun Sessions. Good luck finding this album. Here is a link to a spotify list that someone put together because this album is harder to find than a Lynx shirt at Ta**et

  • Curtis Mayfield: Super Fly (1972) Ep. 76

Here is a quote from Russell's notes. "The first 10 minutes are slow but once we get to Rolling Going's, I thought this episode crushed."

    That's a true 5 star review.

OHHHHH baby..... Listen, the album is great, it's funky, and Aaron watched the corresponding movie to this soundtrack but none of that matters. Aaron drops a BOMB on the podcast AGAIN! Just when you thought we couldn't get any more juice from that sweet sweet orange! We DID! Aaron is truly the gift that keeps on giving. If you love intercoms, you are guaranteed to love this ep.

We are talking about French Raffi, how Aaron uses a cart, Aaron somehow takes his kid sledding in a parking lot, Rob reveals a secret about his WIFE, and Matt grumbles about restocking shelves.

Then we talk Curtis Mayfield and the soundtrack to Super Fly. It is jamming and would be a cool a hell soundtrack for anyone's life. From my research we are now the best Curtis Mayfield podcast.

The voice is the best, the bass is funky and you know we are talking about Muscle Shoals! (If you haven't watched the Muscle Shoals doc, you need to!)

Aaron is done with legos, Russ needs some New Year's Eve advice, Matt is getting offered too much gum, and Rob gets moist at the trampoline park. We talk movies and finally get a swamper list.

Are we the "best Kanye Podcast?" Yes. We are covering his first album as a rapper and it is a BANGER. We get into but first, Aaron hits the ice, describes a burger in detail, Matt is now addicted to solo meals, and Russ gets further into his trip to Nashville.

THEN AARON BLOWS THE DOORS OFF WITH PROBABLY THE "BIGGEST" REVELATION EVER ON THE PODCAST.

Then we talk about the album, and we get tenor so lists.

  • My Bloody Valentine: Loveless (1991) Ep. 73

We did it. We are the best shoegaze podcast!

Imagine a top 100 album where you can barely make out a single lyric. Imagine 4 cool dudes trying to talk about this album. Now you see why I am so grumpy all of the time. We are becoming a shoegaze podcast when we talk about My Bloody Valentine.

Rob is talking bathtime, Aaron's son is just the best, Russ is off to Nashville and Matt comes up with a brilliant business idea. Then we talk advent calendars and finally talk about all the bands influenced by an album that none of us were very familiar with. If the episode sounds echoey, just know that we were recording in the garage.

Also, Aaron makes a list that will make you realize just how sweet Aaron really is.

  • Neil Young: Harvest (1972) Ep. 72

Welcome to the best Neil Young podcast out there. If you want to support Neil Young, this podcast is the place to start! This is easily the best podcast about Harvest.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT. I know some of you foot freaks skip the music part but there is a segment after the album where we are like a bad train, we go off the rails and it is fun so don't miss it. This was recently voted by Russ to be a top 5 "off the rails" episode. Did we need almost two hours to cover a 42-minute album? Yes! How do you expect us to become the best Neil Young podcast and the best podcast about Harvest if we don't also talk about our Mount Rushmore of Canadian Artists? (hint: it ain't called mount rush-less)

In this episode, Rob finds out how far is too far with his parody song, Aaron talks about eating shrimp tails and Rob realizes he didn't go far enough with the song. Matt talks about getting snubbed as a roadie, we plan our first live show, and Aaron talks about his family's favorite Christmas carol.

We talk Neil Young and slide guitars and Russell's cocktail game continues to be on point.

Contact us at [email protected] and call or text 218-341-BECK. You can also follow us @beckdiditbetter on Instagram and Twitter but there is not much going on there. PLEASE DON'T TELL ME YOU WERE "Thinking about calling into the Beck Line!" Just do it.

    2 hr 3 min
  • Bob Marley and the Wailers: Exodus (1977) Ep. 71

Folks, we once again become a Bob Marley podcast when we talk about Exodus. This is easily the most famous Reggae album ever recorded in London! Of course we break down Reggae vs. SKA SKA SKA SKA but before some Natural Mystic, we get into our lives in case you missed it!

We have a sweet opening song about true friendship and then an angry caller with bad taste in candy calls up.Then we talk Flavacol and sneaking food into the theater.Matt talks about Lana Del Rey and Russ and Rob come up with a great business idea. We would have Seriously Terrific Deals (STDs) and we go over the best back up songs of all time.

Then we follow the natural mystic and start Jammin to Bob Marley while listening to those grooves and the great guitar.

Contact us at [email protected] and call or text 218-341-BECK. You can also follow us @beckdiditbetter on Instagram and Twitter but there is not much going on there. PLEASE DON'T TELL ME YOU WERE "Thinking about calling into the Beck Line!" Just do it.

NEXT WEEK: Old Man take a look at my life, because I'm an exhibitionist and it turns me on! We are becoming a Neil Young podcast when we cover Harvest.

    1 hr 29 min
  • NWA: Straight Outta Compton (1988) Ep. 70

This week we go back to the beginning of Gangster Rap and become the best NWA podcast when we go Straight Outta Compton for the podcast. We talk Eazy-E, Ice Cube, and Dre (don't forget Arabian Prince) and how the last song on the album is absolutely wild.

But first we do another classic Aaron or Air out and learn more about our good friend Aaron. Does he disc golf? What was his favorite food on Thanksgiving? These don't look as good written down. They play better on audio.

Matt is still plugging away on the list, going over to Aaron's for a dinner date sounds rough, Russ talks modern daycare, and Rob has to brag. We talk about banned songs and Russ pulls out an all time drink.

Contact us at [email protected] and call or text 218-341-BECK. You can also follow us @beckdiditbetter on Instagram and Twitter but there is not much going on there.

  • Alanis Morissette: Jagged Little Pill (1995) w/ Suzanne Ep. 69

You watched Jagged on HBO and now you want to listen to a podcast about it? Are you just looking for a podcast about Alanis or a podcast about  Jagged Little Pill? Maybe a podcast about the song Ironic?

You probably just know us personally and are now stuck listening to this podcast because you know we will ask you about it when we see you. We are excited to bring back Suzanne to talk about Alanis and give us someone else to talk to for once!

This week we talk about an album that had us in our feels in high school and was one of the best albums of the 90's! We even bring on special guest Suzanne to talk Alanis, why society thinks Alanis is angry, and how this album is so well produced.

Aaron is getting psyched out by John Lennon, it's inflatable season with Matt, Russ' favorite part of a wedding may (not) surprise you, and Suzanne has questions about dining out.

Russ takes us to broadway and Rob deals with button fly pants.

We are running up that hill to make a deal with God but He wasn't there so we are still stuck doing this podcast! Luckily we become the best Kate Bush Podcast as we talk about Hounds of Love on the podcast.

We talk 16th birthday jamz this week and our undying devotion to Boyz II Men although the news that the low voice guy is no longer there has shaken me to the core and I think about it once a day now. We compare the macarena with pegging, so it is one of those episodes.

Aaron gets a fish sandwich, Matt talks about how much he loves? sports betting, Russ gets some culture and the tickets are too good!
