Welcome to episode 3 of Bede & Steve Vs. Camp Crystal Lake. The official spin-off podcast to Bede Vs. The Living Dead, where your hosts Bede Jermyn & Steven T. Boltz explore the classic slasher franchise Friday The 13th, along with its rip-offs, fan films, unproduced scripts, TV shows, comic books and so much more.
After when Friday The 13th Part 2 was released in cinemas in 1981, it's success definitely guarateed that a third film was definitely in the cards. Your hosts Bede & Steven are very excitied for this episode, as they get to discuss the entry in the series that would finally bring the key aspect of what would help make the F13 series one of the most iconic horror franchises of all time. For this episode, Bede & Steven head into the third dimension by discussing the 3D third entry Friday The 13th Part III 3D, which was written by Martin Kitrosser & Carol Watson and once again directed by Friday The 13th Part 2's Steve Miner.
However your hosts won't be alone on this one, as they're being joined by their first ever guests for this podcast. To discuss this 3D shot third instalment of the series are Warren Money and Steven's childhood friend Vince Leedy. Highlights in this episode include both Warren & Vince telling the hosts how they were introduced to the Friday The 13th franchise, how the 3D was used in this film, wonder if Steve Miner's direction was more phoned-in here compared to his more passionate work in Part 2, Bede explaining why he calls this entry a "filler sequel", debate whether the final girl Chris was assaulted by Jason or not in the flashback, the importance of the introduction of Jason's trademark hockey mask in this film, the mixed feelings on the character of Shelly and so much more.

Hey, everyone! Welcome to episode 26 of Bede Vs. The Living Dead. The podcast where your host Bede Jermyn explores the remakes, re-edits, reimaginings, homages, unofficial follow-ups and more to George A. Romero’s 1968 classic Night Of The Living Dead across all media.
Over the past 25 episodes of the podcast, Bede has delved into quite a number of different approaches to Night Of The Living Dead. However there is one approach in particular that he has only touch a bit throughout the series so far, and that happens to be the "homage" film. Even though they're not actual remakes of NOTLD, these are films that pay tribute to the 1968 film by doing their own unique spin on elements from it. For this episode, Bede takes a look at a film that's without a doubt the most well know homage to NOTLD: the 1988 indie horror exploitation film FleshEater. What makes this one interesting is that it was co-written/directed/produced/starred Bill Hinzman, who played the iconic role of the "Cemetery Zombie" in the original 1968 classic.
Joining Bede to discuss this infamous homage to Night Of The Living Dead is returning guest Pat Torfe (who has worked for both Bloody-Disgusting and JoBlo). Highlights in this one include Bede & Pat discussing why this film is so infamous, how FleshEater works on a so-bad-its-good level, the hilariously bad performances from the cast, how Bill Hinzman ties the film back to Night Of The Living Dead, the surprisingly amount of gore that's in it, which actor from the original NOTLD was also in this film and so much more.

Hey, everyone! Welcome to episode 25 of Bede Vs. The Living Dead. The podcast where your host Bede Jermyn explores the remakes, re-edits, reimaginings, homages, unofficial follow-ups and more to George A. Romero’s 1968 classic Night Of The Living Dead across all media.
Now that the podcast's month-long celebration of the 55th anniversary of the release of Night Of The Living Dead in October is behind us, it's time for your host Bede to explore aspects of the film for the final two months of 2023. Believe me, there is quite a lot of interesting stuff coming up for the rest of the year. What has Bede have install for us for this one? After covering the first three well-known entires in the Return Of The Living Dead series in the past few episodes, it's time to take a look the franchise's filmed back-to-back but mostly forgotten final two films: the 2005 SyFy Channel original TV films Return Of The Living Dead: Necropolis and Return Of The Living Dead: Rave To The Grave, which were both directed by Ellory Elkayem (Eight Legged Freaks) and co-written by William Butler (who played Tom in the 1990 remake of Night Of The Living Dead).
Joining Bede to discuss these two little seen Return Of The Living Dead TV sequels is returning (no pun inteneded) guest Marcus Wilturner (writer/contributor for The Super Network, who makes his 7th appearance on the show). Highlights in this one include Bede & Marcus debating if Peter Coyote's bizarre performance in both the sequels is good or not, how both sequels work as follow-up to the previous installments, enjoying the guilty-pleasure elements of Necropolis, being puzzled over how shoddy Rave To The Grave is put together, wondering if the ROTLD series hates homeless people, which famous horror filmmaking legened was original attached to direct both these films and so much more.

Since this year marks the 55th anniversary of Night Of The Living Dead, your host Bede wanted to do something special to commemorate the film's milestone. Bede decided that throughout the month of October in-between the main episodes of the podcast, there will also be some bonus episodes that will be released.

Russo himself came on the podcast to talk about the making and the legacy of one of the most defining horror films in history. It was an honour and privilage to have John come on the podcast discuss NOTLD. So, definitely give this episode a listen. enjoy!

Well, it's almost over. We're nearing the end of the Halloween season, which means that the podcast's month-long celebration of the 55th anniverary of the release of Night Of The Living Dead is coming to a close. However before it all wraps up, your host Bede has one main episode (along with a very special bonus one) to end this month out on a high note. After covering both Return Of The Living Dead 1 & 2 in the previous two main episodes of the show, it's time to dive into the underrated 1993 third entry in the series that just happens to be celebrating its 30th anniverary this year: Return Of The Living Dead 3, which was directed by Brian Yuzna (Society, Bride Of Re-Animator).
Joining Bede to discuss this tonally more serious and less comical ROTLD sequel are returning guests Super Marcey (co-host on the many podcasts on The Super Network with Bede and host of After Dark With Super Marcey) and Baron Roberts. Highlights in this one include Marcey discussing how Return Of The Living Dead 3 made her into a horror fan, wondering if this film has the most relaxed army base in history, how this darker sequel compare to its more comedic previous entries, Melinda Clarke's fantastic performance, praising the zombie/gore effects, how this film tackles intense teen romances and so much more.

Since he has discussed a lot if them in previous episodes, Bede thought it would be interesting to talk to these filmmakers, discuss their process about putting their stamp on the original film and what inspired them to want to do their own take on the story. For this fourth one, Bede chatted to Roger Conners, the writer/director/star of the 2020 indie Night Of The Living Dead remake Rebirth (which was discussed on episode 14 of the podcast). Enjoy!
