Beer Mistress Microbrew Review

Another Steve guest stars this week, only this time it’s Steve Hand! Our newest Rogue, Steve will be working with the team in several upcoming guest appearances like the Great Pennsylvania Flavorfest at Mount Hope Estate. An elementary school teacher, Steve is full of rousing stories that are sure to amuse!

Steve, the Thomas Jefferson guy, is back only this time he brings Abigail Adams but the Professor and Beer Mistress get her a little tipsy. The four drink Smutty Nose Gravitation, Fegley’s Brew Works Monkey Wrench and Southern Tier Tripel Café while playing with historical action figures and discussing Warehouse 13. It’s not trivia but we also play a round of “guess that ABV.”

Verlyn is back for an episode dedicated to zombie themed beers. The Professor is nervous to try Walker beer by Dock Street, but eventually the trio conquers their fear and samples this beer brewed with Goat Brains. Also in store is Clown Shoes Undead Party Crasher and Spring House Brewing’s Braaaiins! Pumpkin Beer.

Once again we venture into the fine world of Firestone Walker only this time we bring our friend Logan from the famed Tria locations. Discussions are possibly even more off topic than normal, but we do manage to pack a bunch of beer into this hour long episode. What else do we talk about? Why your boss should order first at lunch. Can Rob Tod of Allagash pass the Tria test? When did the Germany purity law pass? Will Logan have a new job in Germany? And...Tired Hands...again

New Special Guest!!! (Another) of Ian's childhood friends joins us to talk about blondes both drinkable with our mouths and our eyes. DuClaw's Bare Ass Blonde starts off the threesome for this week. From there we continue our journey of Moving Parts from Victory Brewing Company and we round things out with Samael's from Avery. Three excellent breweries throw down this week. Is the Moving Parts still moving up? Is Samael the angel of death or just a delightful flavor in our mouths? Do blondes have more fun? Taste better? Who is this Zach character and what do we really know about him? Excellent questions all.

Annette joins us on our last stop of Beer Camp, the mixed case put together by Sierra Nevada collaborating with many different brewers from across the country. Not surprisingly we get sidetracked along the way and journey a little down memory lane; who knew Clueless could still be relevant? Or maybe it isn't but we sure talk about it. Today's brewers are Bell's, Three Floyds and New Glarus and we're very excited to see what they have to offer.
