We got a doozy of an episode for you today! For this installment of The Elite Files, Cris and Nicole talk to multiple Justin Frick! Justin was a highly accomplished high jumper who competed at the highest level in both the NCAA and the United States. His career accomplishments include: 4x Heps Champion, 6x NCAA D1 Qualifier, D1 All American, and 5th and 10th at the United States Olympic Trials. We talk about his journey from high school to competing at both Princeton and Oregon, some highlights and experiences from college, and of course some great stories throughout the pod! Justin provides a fantastic look into what goes into jumping at the highest levels of the sport and eventually his decision to leave it as well.

We're back with part two of our series with Tyler Mayforth. For this episode we come off a successful half marathon where Tyler breaks 70 minutes in the half marathon. Ramping up into Boston 2020 Tyler faces a major setback that leaves him sidelines for the majority of the last couple months. We talk about the lead up to his injury, the healing process, and his return to running. Tyler provides a very honest view throughout the entire episode and we also discuss social media and motivations to keep getting back at it.

For this next installment of Beers and Miles: The Elite Files, we have Tyler Mayforth. Tyler was a former D1 college runner who after a 8 year hiatus from running found that spark again and found himself running competitively. Unlike most distance runners, Tyler lifts just as much as he runs and provides a very different perspective from most runners competing at a high level. He journey back to competition is filled with ups and downs and a very honest view of the journey. Enjoy this part one of this two part feature!
