On this weeks episode I sit down with Lake Mosaic, an easy core band from Michigan. We start out talking about how they formed and have gotten to this solid line up that they have now. We then dive into their debut album "Perseverance", which is a phenomenal album that has something for everyone. Its a great definition of easycore and being able to blend the pop punk sounds with the heavier melodic hardcore, overall its very well done! We also talk a little bit about their recent cover and where that idea came from. Before we get to some stories we hint at what is on the horizon for Lake Mosaic. On this weeks episode Guilt Vacation make their return to the podcast. For those that may or may not remember Guilt Vacation is an emo/indie/alternative bank from Lincoln, Nebraska. Last time they were on we talked about how they formed and briefly talked about the music they were working on. This time around their record is done and we talk all about it! Guilt Vacation released their debut LP "Agoraphobia", which is packed with heartfelt emotion and backed up with sensational instrumentals. We also dive into their latest music videos and learn some behind the scene secrets. We do also meet a new member that has helped round out this group. On this weeks episode I sit down with Andrew from The Carolyn, an indie punk band from Atlanta, GA. We start out talking about how the band formed, going from a solo project to a trio. We talk about their revived singles that they put out last year and how they differ from what the band is working on now. Speaking of what they are working on now we go over their latest single "99 Problems, 0 Caveats", this song is one that you just never want to end. The amount of times I found myself hitting repeat is insane. Their new album "Rhythm Of My Own Decay" is out June 10th, be ready! Before we get to stories from Andrew's time in music we talk about their upcoming tour to Germany and what he is most looking forward to.

On this weeks episode I sit down with Emma Peridot, an electro-pop artist from Indianapolis. We start out about how Emma got started with her solo career, from starting out playing guitar to rebranding and taking things towards the electro-pop feel she has now. We also talk about how she comes up with the beats for her songs and the creative process behind it. Emma recently released the song "Could've Been" which honestly is a bop, its up beat and makes you want to move. It makes this elder emo wish he was in a club just having a great time! After we talk "Could've Been" we have a couple deep convos, one of which we need your opinion on. We finish out the episode listening to some of Emma's highs and lows during her career. Be sure to catch Emma as she tours the midwest this spring/summer!!

On this weeks episode I sit down with Wes Hoffman, lead singer of Wes Hoffman & Friends a pop punk band from St. Louis. We start out talking about how Wes started his music journey and what led to the forming of Wes Hoffman & Friends. We dive into his latest EP "Rewrite The Story", which is a great pop punk record that his on all accounts. It reminds me of that 2010's pop punk like Forever Came Calling. Next we talk about their new single which is an acoustic rendition of their song "What's Left Of Me". Wes was able to get the help of The Punk Cellist to be on the track which takes it to a whole new level. Before we get to stories we talk a bit about the podcast that Wes runs called 314 Punk that focuses on the St. Louis punk scene. Great chats, great hangs, great friends, thanks Wes! We start out talking about the forming of this band and getting to the line up that they have now. We then talk about their first song "Drift" and how it their new stuff has changed due to the current line up and being a more cohesive unit. Speaking of new stuff we do touch base on their latest single "Evergreen", which is a great example of what is next to come with this band. We also find out the origin story for their odd spelling of their name. Before wrapping up we listen to some stories from their time in music. Definitely keep your eyes peeled on this dudes, "Evergreen" is such a solid song and I can't wait to see what they do next!

On this weeks episode I sit down with Braden aka Saint Judas, a solo artist with a midwest emo/pop punk vibe. We start out talking about how Braden got started playing music and what led to the formation of Saint Judas. We then dive into his latest release with "A Terrible Year" which comes from the mental state he was in while going through a rough year. Something most of us can relate to. "A Terrible Year" is a nice 5 song ep that you can easily put on, lay back, and let it all soak in. It also hits deep with the lyrical content, which is always a great sign of an EP. We also talk about donating proceeds from Bandcamp Friday to The Trevor Project and why he chose to do that. Before we get to our normal stories we talk about what we might see from Saint Judas in the future. Overall I had a great time chatting with Braden and everyone should go check out Saint Judas!!

Hi and welcome back to the Beers With Band podcast! On this first episode of 2022 I sit down with John from Gnawing, a fuzz band from Richmond, VA. We start out talking about the forming of the band, from starting as a solo project to recruiting and becoming a three piece. We then dive into their releases of 2021 with "You Freak Me Out" their first LP. Now for people looking for a twangy rock inspired album this is it! It falls on the line between a a grungy 90s album and classic country which comes out to become this masterpiece. Next we go into the live album that they released, be sure to tune in to see how crazy of a scenario it was to get their hand on this recording. Lastly we talk about their latest single "Germs Burn" and what it is leading up to next. In typical BWB fashion we end the episode with some great stories from John's time with Gnawing!
