South Africa is celebrating its 4th #SANBeerDay, and we couldn’t be happier! I chatted to Lucy Corne about what the day means and what events people should expect.

What a line up of beers! Quite possibly the best the show has ever seen. And why not, as we celebrate the host’s birthday. From sours to stouts, this show has them all. Happy Birthday T-bone!

For the past 10 years, Cape Town has played host to one of the biggest beer festivals in the southern hemisphere. The amount of beers on offer has always pushed over the 200 mark and it draws big numbers over the 3 days. It also marks the start of summer!

Every once in a while you come across a brewery that’s doing it right… and not just on one aspect, but most. I had no idea what to expect. I had only heard whispers from afar. And now, all I want is more.

Alex is a chef. He also loves beer. So what did he do? Well he started a brewery of course! His beers are complex yet moreish, and the recipes contain a hidden world of foraged ingredients.

I’ve wanted to get these guys on my show since day one. They are one of my favourite brands in the whole world, and if you don’t know, their quality of beer stands up to their packaging 100%.

Phil Lowry and Richard Simpson are two well known UK beer gents who visited South Africa and had some beers with #Beertime. We skim the surface of Brexit, but focus mainly on British and South African beer and similarities between our two countries.
