With “The Mecca” Shane Madison off training for the Rumble to Remember in Dallas Texas, we’ve tapped the wisdom of Steve Stryker to stand in. Stryker is asked about the mindset and what causes a guy to go from being a wrestler in a locker room to aspiring to start your own Indy wrestling company. In 1997, Stryker chose to break off from Ernie Todd’s CWF to spearhead Power Pro Wrestling.

Triple H is back in control of WWE creative where does that leave Vince McMahon?

The National Wrestling Alliance is about to return to National TV for the first time since the early 90s when Ted Turned decided to rebrand his wrestling company as World Championship Wrestling. The landscape has changed considerably. Can the NWA competed in the crowded playing field of televised wrestling?

On October 7th Winnipeg Pro Wrestling raised the bar in independent wrestling all over again. Rumble at the Burt, drew more than 1000 fans and Mike Davidson has called it the “highest grossing wrestling event at the gate in history. Davidson and Shane Madison break down their observations from the event, and give a full overview.

The National Wrestling Alliance is going back to a member territory system. Mike Davidson emphatically believes Billy Corgan NEEDS Danny Duggan’s Canadian Wrestling’s Elite.

WWE has officially won the war with All Elite Wrestling, and according to BeezSheez Wrestling you can thank one man for that… Tony Khan. The repeated winner of the Wrestling Observer Booker of the Year, Khan’s booking in 2023 has led AEW to the coldest period in the Company’s 4 year existence.

In 2001 Winnipeg’s wrestling scene was shaken up with the emergence of an angel investor. In his mid 20’s and running a financially successful call centre in Winnipeg, John Nguyen stepped up and backed a vision presented to him by “The Mecca” Shane Madison, Mike Davidson and Andrew Shallcross. Premier Championship Wrestling was soon born, with mega stars like Eddie Guerrero and The Legion of Doom coming to Winnipeg to entertain huge crowds. But the short lived involvement of Nguyen as the financial backer has never been spoken about in long form. What inspired him to step up and pony up? What was his relationship with the wrestling talent? When did he withdraw from the company? Mike Davidson and Shane Madison share the controversial story of John Nguyen in this special edition of BeezSheez Wrestling, called “DeezSeez of the Local Reez”, heavily inspired by Darkside of The Ring.

The post mortem episode of the CNWEA local wrestling disaster of a debacle brings out some of the most honest opinions you’ll hear from a pair of wrestling aficionados. “The Mecca” Shane Madison and Mike Davidson pull no punches and definitely don’t hold back. Who was the hero? Who was the villain? And weren’t they all village idiots? This one is the ugly truth.

Primos Wrestling added Trent Seven to a show over the weekend. Very late addition but the value added was insanely good. Leading to new booker Billy Blaze to offer a triple feature on the show. Mentallo vs Flip Gordon Trent Seven vs AJ Sanchez Adam Knight vs Billy Blaze Add it all up and it’s a great show on paper.

WWE’s (TKO) stock price tumbled big time after it was announced that Smackdown would move from Network TV Fox to Cable TV USA. If you’re keeping score that means Mike was right and Mecca was wrong last week. Enjoy it because it’s rare.

The boys are dead wrong this week! Recorded prior to one of the biggest fiascos in recent local wrestling history the boys weigh in on whether the CNWEA should would happen. Would there be a ring… and would Pitbull Gary Wolf even come to Winnipeg….

The countdown is on for WPW’s Rumble at the Burt Saturday October 7th and Mike Davidson predicts the show will draw over 1000 fans and be one of the biggest Indy shows in Canada this year. In the Mailbag, what would it take to create a wrestling union? The boys offer their insight on that….

The thing you NEVER want to see as a wrestling fan is a wrestler with a career ending injury. 30 year Winnipeg wrestling legend Robby Royce is fighting hard to comeback from a serious injury. A broken neck, the result of a recent Tables Ladders & Chairs match, has forced doctors to insert two iron rods into Royce’s neck, while fusing his C2, C3, C4, C5, C6 and C7 vertebrae’s together. Mike Davidson and “The Mecca” Shane Madison talk big time about Royce’s legacy, and the impact of this injury to his future life. Royce has vowed to comeback. Time will tell but right now fans are just pulling for Royce to recover fully.

The PWI 500 ranked Seth Rollins #1, John Moxley #3, Kenny Omega #25.

How should WPW handle their main event for the Rumble at The Burt mega show coming up Saturday night Oct 7? “Sweet” Bobby Schink vs “Canadian Hercules” Tyler Colton for the WPW championship. The booking mind of Mike Davidson is tested as he offers his opinion. You can get your WPW Rumble at the Burt tickets at Ticketmaster.

The boys are back in studio and they are lit up. Literally. “The Mecca” Shane Madison is under the influence. CM Punk has been fired and that means Mike Davidson was dead wrong… Mike has believed this whole fiasco was an angle from the start, but now even he has to admit he was wrong. Or is he?

Shane Madison has been in the CWE training ring and it has now been announced that he will be in the Rumble to Remember this fall. There was much consternation about it.

Who was the best Booker of the 1980s? We answer that one in the Mailbag.

“The Mecca” Shane Madison believes Jordan Garber deserves one day every year to be honoured amongst the local wrestling community. Perhaps an annual battle royal, or at least one show every year that sees all the wrestling companies work together to pay tribute. Jordan was a young man dedicated to Winnipeg Wrestling and podcasting, died way too young at the age of 25.

This podcast was recorded prior to Tony Khan firing CM Punk, but Mike Davidson is steadfast in his belief that this has been a one year work. He makes a good case, but he seems to be one of the very few believing everyone is in on it.

CNWEA cancelled a show in Winnipeg. That’s not news, it’s happened countless times. But the boys break down why promoters have to focus on credibility to enhance their brand in Winnipeg wrestling.

In the Mailbag, the boys talk who their favourite referee was in the Winnipeg wrestling scene. And more importantly what makes a referee really valuable on a show.

It’s a state of the game address from the BeezSheez panel this week, they break down what’s going right and not so right for 3 of the wrestling promotions in Manitoba.

CWE has announced Ultimo Dragon will be doing a 10 show tour this fall, and that has turned a lot of heads.

Fresh off of having their heavyweight champion Bobby Schink throw out the first pitch at a baseball game, WPW followed up an amazing week with yet another sellout and are now primed for success at Rumble at the Burt.

Primos has launched an interesting new idea where businesses can sponsor individual wrestlers.

In the #MaryBrownsMailbag how much of an impact has Robby Royce had on the scene over his incredible career?

And will Al Snow become one of the BIGGEST stars in Wrestling when the Ohio Valley Wrestling TV series called Wrestlers debuts on Netflix?

Coming off a hugely successful week at BeezSheez Wrestling the boys are back with plenty to talk about. Could Winnipeg be a market both WWE and AEW could go to war over? WWE just set a market record in Winnipeg for highest grossing event in the history dating back to 1986. A well placed source has told Mike Davidson that AEW is due back in Winnipeg in April, leaving the guys to speculate that Canada Life Centre will get a WWE event during the Road To Wrestlemania Tour in February or March.

Winnipeg Pro Wrestling is swinging for the fences with the Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball team. Heavyweight champion Bobby Schink will be throwing the ceremonial first pitch at Mondays game as the Company gets ready to run its biggest event to date Rumble at the Burt this coming October.

If WPW isn’t the very best wrestling company in Western Canada, Top Talent Wrestling in Edmonton has been doing just about everything right. Recently Top Talent signed a distribution deal with FITE TV. One of the top feuds in recent memory, Bobby Sharp vs El Lobo Andy Anderson has been featured on their events.
