• DR Horton (DHI) - A play on housing. DR Horton peers in the homebuilding space, Lennar (LEN) and KB Home (KBH), reported mixed quarterly results on Wednesday afternoon. In an interesting comment during Fed Chair Jay Powell's press briefing Wednesday afternoon, he said "the housing market needs to go through a correction before getting back to normal price growth."
• Rumble (RUM) - A play on a YouTube-esque video-streaming service. This is the platform that famously welcomed Donald Trump's Truth Social Media as its first ad-supported publisher. Investors in Benzinga Pro's lounge chatroom Thursday morning discussed recent news on Rumble that social media influencer and former YouTube content creator, Steve Will Do It, will begin creating content on Rumble.
• Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY) - A so-called meme stock. Bed Bath & Beyond will report quarterly results on Thursday of next week.
• Novavax (NVAX) - A play on pessimism about the company and stock from analysts at JP Morgan. The firm downgraded shares of Novavax to the equivalent of a sell rating Thursday morning. JP Morgan analysts attributed the downgrade to the company's concerning long-term outlook.

• NVIDIA (NVDA) - The company was in focus Tuesday and Wednesday following what one analyst called "the biggest graphics processing unit launch in NVIDIA history": its GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards. Initial anecdotal information from consumers suggested the price point was pretty steep. Keep in mind: the launch of graphics cards and new chips from the semiconductor companies rarely impact stock prices.
• Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG) - A play on a bright spot in the "fatigued fast casual" space, according to one analyst. Cowen analyst Andrew Charles highlighted in a Wednesday morning research note takeaways from a recent meeting with Chipotle management. The analyst noted "strengthening value perceptions within proprietary survey data that supports Chipotle's elevated [second half '22] pricing levels & future pricing power."
• Aurora Cannabis (ACB) - A favorite cannabis play among the retail investing crowd. Shares were down about 2% in pre-market trade Wednesday following quarterly earnings from the company Tuesday evening. An analyst at Cantor Fitzgerald remained optimistic on Aurora's business and stock following the earnings report and highlighted the company's "strong medical [cannabis] franchise" and "right-sized" recreational cannabis segment within the US.
• BlackBerry (BB) - A so-called meme stock; a favorite target for retail investors. The company will report quarterly results on Tuesday of next week.
• Virax Biolabs (VRAX) - A play on a company with a testing kit for monkeypox. In an exclusive early report on Benzinga Pro Tuesday, Virax announced a distribution deal for its monkeypox antigen test. Shares closed Tuesday's session up 40%; the stock saw some profit taking Wednesday morning and was down about 7% ahead of the open.

• Home Depot (HD) - A play on economist expectations for continued increases in housing-related costs. A top story on the Wall Street Journal Tuesday, "Climbing Housing Costs Could Prop Up Inflation for a While," highlighted "Economists say rents will eventually moderate. Question is when?" Also Tuesday, data from the US Census Bureau showed housing starts were stronger than expected during August.
• Ford (F) - The company warned inflation-related costs during the third quarter would be $1 billion higher than the automaker's original estimate. Ford said it expects to have about 40,000-45,000 "vehicles on wheels but awaiting parts" by the end of the third quarter. For some perspective, back in May of 2022, Ford had about 53,000 cars on wheels but awaiting parts.
• Rocket Companies (RKT) - A play on interest rate-sensitive sectors. As a provider of mortgages, Rocket Companies operations will be affected by the Federal Reserves' continued rate hikes. The Fed is expected to raise its key interest rate by 75 basis points on Wednesday of this week.
• Livent (LTHM) - A play on a bullish call by an analyst at Piper Sandler. The firm's Charles Neivert set the equivalent of a buy rating on Livent and noted his estimate for a key industry metric was "considerably above" analysts' consensus estimates. The analyst cited a higher price trajectory for lithium.
• BYND Cannasoft Enterprises (BCAN) - Monday and likely Tuesday's low-float momentum du jour name. Shares closed about 30% higher on Monday following news of a deal with a current patent holder for one of BYND Cannasoft's products, Zigi Carmel. The Monday press release showed a price of about $4.74 for BYND Cannasoft. On Tuesday morning, shares of BYND Cannasoft continued another 30% higher and last traded over $7.

• Generac (GNRC) - A play on the 2022 hurricane season. Generac is a manufacturer and provider of portable and static generators. Generac is viewed as a top way for investors to gain exposure during natural disasters.
• Darden Restaurants (DRI) - The company will report quarterly results on Thursday of this week. Traders and investors can potentially use this company's performance as a way to gauge the overall consumer sentiment in the United States. Darden's restaurant brands include Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze, LongHorn Steakhouse and The Capital Grille.
• Trinity Place Holdings (TPHS) - Monday's penny-stock, low-float momentum play of the day. Shares were up 20% on heavy volume but no news.
• FOXO Technologies (FOXO) - A new issue as of Friday. Shares began trade following the completion of a special purpose acquisition corporation (SPAC) deal with Delwinds Insurance. FOXO is involved in the epigenetics space; one of the company's main missions focuses on human-life longevity.

• SoFi Technologies (SOFI) - A way to gain exposure to a potential boom related to student debt being refinanced. A B Of A analyst on Wednesday upgraded SoFi shares related to the student debt refinancing thesis.
• Heartbeam (BEAT) - A penny-stock, low-float, momentum play of the day. Shares were up more than 50% following news the company was granted a patent for an electrocardiogram patch monitor intended for detection of heart attacks and complex cardiac arrhythmias.

The next stop on the deal's journey will be in the hands of a Delaware judge, who will oversee court proceedings expected for October. Sources have said the Musk/Twitter trial will spend about five days in court.

• urban-gro (UGRO) - A play on the cannabis market. The company is an architectural, engineering and cultivation integration company for the commercial cannabis market. The company's co-founder and CEO, Brad Nattrass will interview at Benzinga's Cannabis Capital Conference Tuesday at 2:40 p.m. EDT.
• CleanSpark (CLSK) - A way to gain exposure to microgrid energy resources. The company describes itself as a software provider allowing "a microgrid to be scaled to the user's specific needs for implementation across commercial, industrial, military, agricultural, and municipal deployment." Company Chair Matthew Schultz will interview on Benzinga's "Stock Market Movers" YouTube show Thursday at 1:15 p.m. EDT.
• American Rebel Holdings (AREB) - A penny-stock, low-float play on gun and self-defense storage and carry products. Shares traded up about 24% on Tuesday morning despite no news. The issue has around 5 million shares in its float.

George will be joined Tuesday afternoon with Flora Growth (FLGC) CEO and Akanda (AKAN) CEO to discuss "M&A Fever: Consolidation Heating Up in Canada & Europe." Munster said he was hoping the feature would have added more in sales.
• Kroger (KR) - A gauge of the US consumer. One of the the US's largest grocers, Kroger will report quarterly results on Friday of next week.
• Western Digital (WDC) - A play on a worsening outlook for the chip storage sector. To end this week, analysts have been warning about concerning data impacting the cloud and data center computing spaces.
• NIO, Inc. (NIO) - A gauge of the Chinese consumer. NIO is a top-3 manufacturer of electric vehicles in China. The company will report quarterly results on Wednesday next week.

• Hempacco (HPCO) - An initial public offering (IPO) from earlier this week. After pricing at $6 per share on Tuesday, shares closed Wednesday's session around $5.50. The stock was up more than 50% Thursday morning to over the $7.50 level. The company is a manufacturer and seller of nicotine-free and tobacco-free alternatives to traditional cigarettes.
