Walmart (WMT) - A play on decelerating consumer spending which has "stabilized," according to one Wall Street analyst. An analyst at Morgan Stanley was favorable on Walmart Monday morning following the company's annual shareholder meeting last week.

 

American Airlines (AAL) - The company was featured in a Wall Street Journal front page article, "American Airlines’ Radical Plan to Reinvent Business Travel."

 

Costco Wholesale (COST) - A play on a bullish call by analysts at Oppenheimer. The firm re-added Costco to its top picks list Monday morning following recent downside in the stock. Oppenheimer noted a belief Costco investors could soon see a special dividend "down the road."

 

Roblox (RBLX) - A play on the metaverse. Apple (AAPL) is expected to unveil its first new product in more than a decade Monday afternoon, a virtual-reality headset.

 

Forza X1 (FRZA) - Monday morning's heftiest momentum stock. Shares were up nearly 150% amid low-float momentum. Some traders attributed the price action to a late-Friday tweet from the company seemingly hinting at a new electric boat from Forza.

AT&T (T) - The stock traded lower following a report suggesting Amazon is in talks with mobile carriers to offer low-cost mobile phone service to Prime subscribers. Shares of Verizon (V) and T-Mobile (TMUS) were down in the premarket as well.

 

Nike (NKE) - Shares of the athletic apparel company were higher premarket in sympathy with Lululemon Athletica (LULU), which surged following strong Q1 results.

 

XPeng (XPEV) - Shares of Chinese EV stocks gained following a report suggesting the country will extend and optimize a tax exemption on new energy vehicles.

 

ProShares UltraPro QQQ (TQQQ) - This 3x leveraged Nasdaq ETF continues to gain amid strength in the tech sector this year on AI-related optimism. US Senate passage of a debt limit bill has also lifted the broader market on Friday, sending major indices higher.

 

SentinelOne (S) - Shares fell over 30% after the company issued weak Q2 guidance and saw multiple analyst downgrades.

Macy's (M) - Shares fell premarket after the company lowered its FY23 financial outlook, noting demand trends weakened further in its discretionary categories in late March. Retailers Victorias Secret (VSC) and Dollar General (DG) also traded lower following weak quarterly results.

 

C3.ai (AI) - The stock fell over 18% premarket. While the company reported better-than-expected Q4 results and issued relatively in-line Q1 revenue guidance, expectations may have been high amid the stock's surge this year on AI momentum.

 

SentinelOne (S) - Shares traded lower in sympathy with cybersecurity peer Crowdstrike, which dipped following its quarterly earnings report. SentinelOne will report its Q1 results after the close.

 

Chewy (CHWY) - The company reported better-than-expected Q1 results, sending shares up nearly 20%.

 

Broadcom (AVGO) - The chipmaker will report Q2 earnings after the close. Semiconductor stocks have been volatile this year with investors focusing on AI plans and outlook.

BioRestorative Therapies (BRTX) - The company announced a license from the New York State Department of Health to act as a tissue bank for processing mesenchymal stem cells from autologous donors.

 

BP (BP) - Shares fell amid a drop in oil prices, which came after a decline in China factory activity. The soft economic data out of China has caused economic recovery concerns and has pressured oil demand outlook.

 

Salesforce (CRM) - The company will report Q1 earnings after the close today.

 

SoFi Technologies (SOFI) - Shares gained for a second day amid progress on a US debt limit bill, which would reinstate student loan payments

NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA) - Shares of the chipmaker rose over 4% on Tuesday after the company said it would build the Israel-1 generative AI cloud supercomputer. The stock has gained over 170% year to date amid AI momentum, with the company now approaching a $1 trillion market cap.

 

Ford (F) - Jefferies upgraded the stock from Hold to Buy, citing increased confidence in the company's ability to close a 'deficit of execution.'

 

Delta Airlines (DAL) - TSA checkpoint data showed Memorial day passenger volumes rising above 2019 levels, indicating high travel demand during the holiday weekend.

 

Equitrans Midstream (ETRN) - The tentative debt limit agreement by Biden and McCarthy contains a provision to accelerate the completion of the Mountain Valley Pipeline. RBC Capital upgraded the stock from Sector Perform to Outperform following the news, with shares gaining nearly 40% premarket.

 

C3.ai (AI) - Shares rose 12% in the pre-market session amid continued investor optimism in the AI space. The company will report Q4 earnings tomorrow after the close.

Ford (F) - A report Thursday afternoon suggested Ford will add Tesla's (TSLA) plug to its electric vehicles. While some retail investors were optimistic on the move by Ford, shares appeared unaffected.

 

Broadcom (AVGO) - A play on the semi space. The company will report quarterly results on Thursday of next week.

 

Chewy (CHWY) - The company will report quarterly results on Wednesday after market close. Traders and investors can potentially use Petco's (WOOF) recent earnings as an indication for Chewy.

Blackboxstocks (BLBX) - One of Friday's momentum names. The stock was up 12% on seemingly no news. The company is a provider of "a financial technology and social media hybrid platform offering real-time proprietary analytics and news for stock and options traders of all levels." The issue is in low-float territory with about 2 million shares in its float.

Uber (UBER) - Analysts at Morgan Stanley Wednesday morning called Uber's ability to scale profitability in the global delivery space "underappreciated." The analysts also questioned whether the delivery industry's runway in the US could be "longer than expected."

 

CyberArk Software (CYBR) - A play on identity security. Several sell-side analysts were favorable on CyberArk following the company's recent investor day. Analysts at William Blair liked the fact CyberArk seemed to "set a new direction, vision and strategy to expand the opportunity of what it can achieve."

 

EpicQuest Education (EEIQ) - A low-float momentum play for Wednesday. Shares were over the $2 level, up 89% from Tuesday's close. The stock closed Tuesday's session up about 7% following news of a non-binding agreement with a Chinese college.

KULR announced it was awarded an additional contract from the US Air Force related to the development of high-energy battery packs. KULR did not disclose terms of the contract. Shares were relatively quiet Tuesday morning but rallied more than 40% on Monday ahead of the news.

 

Traegar (COOK) - A good ole' fashioned barbeque play ahead of the unofficial start of the summer in the US, Memorial Day! Reminder: the US stock market will be closed on Monday, May 29 for Memorial Day.

Micron Technology (MU) - Shares were down about 4% Monday morning following a report the Chinese government found cybersecurity issues related to Micron's products. Chinese officials have asked its infrastructure operators not to buy Micron products.

 

Rocket Companies (RKT) - A play on interest rates. Last week Fed Funds Futures rates showed more conviction by institutions the Federal Reserve will pause interest rate hikes by July. As a mortgage company, Rocket Companies is among the most sensitive publicly-traded companies tied to the interest-rate cycle.

 

Dollar Tree (DLTR) - A play on consumers being more (or potentially less) focused on cost savings. Dollar Tree will report quarterly results on Thursday before market open.

 

Leidos Holdings (LDOS) - Shares appeared unaffected Monday morning despite news (as highlighted in a William Blair research report) NASA awarded its second human lunar lander contract to a team led by Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin. Leidos’ subsidiary, Dynetics, was pursuing this contract with partner Northrop Grumman (NOC).

 

Ironwood Pharmaceuticals (IRWD) - Shares were down about 7% following news the company offered to acquire VectivBio (VECT) in about a $1 billion deal. Shares of Vectiv were up 35% on the news.
