  • Getting hitchhiker Johan to Bloemfontein
    Kfm Mornings can't resist a feel-good story.
During their morning show, the team received a voice message from a guy named Johan who needed help hitchhiking from Ladismith to Bloemfontein.
They called him up about 1 hour later to hear his story when he was in Calitzdorp. After he received a call that his cancer-stricken 86-year-old mother is ill, Johan is desperately trying to make his way to Bloem to be by her side.
He works in Ladismith but unfortunately is unable to afford a bus ticket to the Free State.
Hitchhiking has always been his go-to method of travel - ever since he was in the army.
