At one point, Tommy Silverstein was "America's most violent prisoner."  While in prison for armed robbery, he would be convicted of killing four people (one of the convictions would be overturned). Silverstein's brazen murder of a corrections officer was the tipping point that landed him in solitary confinement for the last 36 years of his life.
