  • 16: The House of You

In this episode we start by discussing the value of emotional intelligence as leader and navigating beyond being a cog in the wheel.  We play with the metaphor of you being a house and what would your house look like if you were to redecorate it.  As we walk through our house, we explore what it means to live with intention and creativity and how it sparks growth.   As we explore our house, we discover what's possible in creating space for spiritual evolution and the energy we expend in what has no intention or feels right for the room.  You don't have to make life work.  You deserve to live and expanded, full life.

  • 15: Are You Making Your Life Small?

In this week's episode, we uncover where and how we are making our lives small.  We discover the truths in how we manipulate and control certain situations or people to stay comfortable and eliminate risk.  We play around with the concept of being in relationship with ourselves.  And based on what we discovered, I'm kicking myself out the fucking door.  Eventually, Kira reels me back and we explore the idea of couples counseling with myself.  A little therapy never hurts.  Ask yourself, do you love or even like yourself in this moment and what area in your life can you take action to play a bigger game and live a bigger life.

  • 14: Complete Nonsense

This episode is literally complete nonsense.   Kira takes us down a passionate whole of her latest binge of Love is Blind.  We find ourselves deliriously hungover from our torrid affair of trashy television.  At some point we attempt to go deep and discover our combined desires of avoiding and go back to  the comforts of what we know.  Welcome to the nonsense and I hope you enjoy in the delight of our giggles and seemingly juvenile conversation.

  • 13: Be You

In this week's episode we discuss communication and how we may or may not sensor ourselves based on experiences.  We both talk through the HR issues we have had with our direct reports and how that shaped our future and communication style.  We found that these various situations have forced us to morph ourselves into unauthentic versions of ourselves leaving us craving a feeling of freedom.  Freedom to be our authentic selves with the need to protect ourselves from perceptions of who we are not.

  • 12: Being with Grief and Loss

In this episode, we explore the conversation of grief and loss.  Our friend Adam presented this topic as a discussion and we dove in.  Like all of our conversations we dive deep, find some lightness and laughter and give you something to consider.  So don't delete this one before you give it a listen.  We discover it's honoring the feelings that may or may not be as big as they were at the time of them happening and giving ourselves the permission to do that.  We dive into the idea of starting from the outside (your body) and then going in (the feelings and sensations), and how can you tend to the things that came up for you.  We ask the tough questions, identifying the numbing agents and provide options for shifting into coping behaviors that serve your highest good.

  • 11: There's Choice in Resistance

In this weeks episode we go through the highs and lows in our experiences with resistance.  We explore the possibility of choice and what it's like to dance outside our comfort zone.  Shakira defines what faith means for her and how she experiences it on the daily to stay connected.  As we further discuss the discomfort in in our resistance we bump up against fear in the unknowing.  What we discover, is that even the unknowing can be enjoyable by having compassion for ourselves.

  • 10: Finding Beauty in Darkness

In this episode we are unknowingly creating a string of pearls connected to finding beauty in the darkness.  The darkness in a mood.  The darkness of a phase.  The darkness in an artists painting. The darkness in our own thoughts.  As we carry on this conversation we are wrestled with trusting the process and experiencing the blessings of our journey through life.  Can we let it just come to us rather than needing to change it?  Shakira had a great quote.  "Decisions that are made with a sense of urgency typically are not connected to your higher self."

We welcome you into the conversation and ponder with us as you explore your own life filled with beauty...if you just look closer.

  • 9: Mindless to Mindful

This episode is the real conversation between two friends and we exploit our privileges in life.  We are full aware of how we ridiculous we can be at times.  As we explore this privilege we discover our travel tendencies and what it means to intentionally live in your space and what is really necessary to have what you truly want in life.  We find that it is a lot less than we think.  We are reminded of how quickly we return to the grooves of fear and discomfort that we have created in our daily rituals.  There is space to create something new with the intention of freedom, peace and ease and live a life lighter than what is necessary to carry.  We invite you explore what you are holding on to that could be joyfully released to discover the possibility of a more mindful life.

  • 8: Balancing the Feminine and Masculine Energy Within

In this episode, we get curious about about the expansion of defining what is masculine and feminine energy.  We dive into the role models of the masculine and feminine and how this has showed up in our life experiences.  We explore how we identify with these energies today and how we play with the edges to find balance and play.  As a takeaway, how can we consciously and intentionally think about some of the ways in which we choose to balance this energy on a daily basis?

  • 7: Connecting to the Feminine Within

In this episode the conversations weaves through multiple ideas and topics of understanding the feminine within each of us.  As we begin with the beautiful practice of checking in with mood and feelings, we create the dance through each of our experiences of the feminine energy and how it has expanded our self awareness.  Shakira shares some beautiful resources that support her in the healing of her feminine energy.  We deepen the conversation as we expand on a new perspective of the mothering experience.  It is not only for those who have or are a mother of a child.  It's the availability of oneself to care for something.  Each of us has feminine and masculine energy within us and we close this conversation wondering how we can find balance within and the agency to live what's true for you.
