Bev's Video Kingdom

Way out west there was this podcast...  podcast I wanna tell ya about. Podcast by the name of Bev's Video Kingdom. And these fellas aren't into the whole brevity thing, so sit back, roll up a j, and be entertained for 90 minutes of fun-filled conversation about the Coen Brother's classic, "The Big Lebowski"! 

WE'VE REACHED 50 EPISODES! And considering the pod did a short stint in Facebook jail, we feel fully qualified to judge the most memorable prison scenes in movies. Some picks are funny, some are downright horrifying, but the BVK crew brings along Scotch Beck to find out who will hold the keys to the car by the end of the draft! Punches may or may not have been thrown!

It's episode 49 of the BVK podcast and we had to go big, or go to the big house at least. We tackle Shawshank Redemption with the shocking fact that one of the BVK crew had never seen this film! We also have a special guest, Mike, who brings some insight into the prison system from his own experiences in it and he also sizes up the crew and lets us know which BVK members would make it through the first night.  

The BVK crew picks a very narrow topic this week, by choosing the most memorable moms in all of cinema. Some of these moms are terrific, some are terrible, and we asked our friends from the California True Crime podcast (look for them this March on the new Court TV show, Someone They Knew with Tamron Hall!) to join us once again to examine all the evidence and decide who is guilty of picking the best and worst moms movies have to offer. 

If you haven't joined the BVK cult yet, then go ahead and jump on board now as we cover our eyes and look between our fingers to talk about Hereditary. This may be less of a pod and more of a therapy session for all the BVK crew except Zach, but ultimately there are a lot more laughs than tears throughout!

Surely, we can't be serious about this draft topic? We are serious and don't call us Shirley! Scotch Beck shows up to judge a bunch of hilarious movies and the BVK crew gets down to business trying to notch another victory and out pander each other. 3 failures and one winner later, the boys plan their first movie sleepover!

BY THE POWER OF GREY SKULL! BVK returns with the Edgar Wright classic, Hot Fuzz! The boys leap through the air with jokes blazing as they break down this hilarious film while sipping generous amounts of BVK IPA (with limited time left to pick some up at Last Call Brewing in Oakdale, CA!!!).

Who better to judge the "most memorable gifts in film" draft, than gift-giver extraordinaire and unofficial manager of the BVK podcast, Amy? You'll hear some childhood rivalry stories of her growing up with Nate (he's her brother), along with how Jimmy G could be the best gift the Niners could ever give the Raiders, and ultimately we find out how the draft lists "may-shur" up to Amy's standards. 

In our pre-Valentine's Day pod, the crew gets all sentimental and lovey-dovey about Ryan Reynold's ab-less, Definitely, Maybe. Unfortunately, the love is as short-lived as Ryan's numerous proposals and marriages in this movie, when the crew takes it to task and leaves Nate heart-broken wondering if he's gonna be able to pawn his beautiful ring. 

This IS... a tasty podcast! Be ready to salivate from something besides our voices as we draft the most delicious looking food in film. From sweet to savory the crew finds those mouth-watering moments that you just can't wait to get in your belly. Walter Ramirez, with the assist from his amazing wife Kendra, samples the wares in order to choose who is the Top Drafter for this week and who is going home in shame.
