Bethany and Adam sit down with Dr. Deena Muno, a clinical psychologist who works with some of the most severe cases of eating disorders in hospital settings as well as through her private practice.
Deena shares from her years of experience walking with patients whose lives are at risk due to restrictive eating, and she helps us understand that eating disorders are not just about body image; they are layered, complex, and deeply tied to neurobiology, personality traits, family systems, and cultural pressures like social media.
Together, Bethany and Deena talk about:
Guest Bio:
Dr. Deena Muno is a clinical psychologist specializing in eating disorders. She works on an inpatient hospital unit where patients receive medical stabilization for severe cases of anorexia and ARFID, and she also runs a private practice serving clients of all ages. Deena and her husband, a grass-fed rancher, often engage in holistic conversations about food, family, and wellness.
