On the podcast time week, I offer ways to not quit on yourself.
Here are the three steps:
1- Make it doable
2- Shine the light just a few steps ahead
3- Ask yourself the question “ Am I complimenting or complicating the process?”

Triathlons are like a microcosm of life. Everytime I race, I learn a new lesson that I can use in my life and in turn the next race.
In this podcast I share 5 takeaways from Ironman Tulsa:

In this episode I talk about what it is like to take off the invisible mask. Now that the mask mandate is being lifted and we get to take off the physical mask, let take the chance to take off our invisible mask as well.
We often wear an invisible mask with our emotions.
We pretend that everything is fine.
Now that we are taking off the mask, this is a perfect time to do a reset and take off our invisible mask as well.
We can also work on not using food to mask our emotions.
The last thing I talk about is how exercise is a great place to see what it is like to live an unmasked life.

I talk about how we can carry on when our outside circumstances change, especially how we carried on during the pandemic and in our individual lives.

Every time I race I am not only amazed at what you can train the physical body to do, but I love seeing how many life lessons I can learn from each race.
I share 5 lessons I learned while racing Ironman 70.3 St. George:
1-Train your mental game as much as you train the physical game
2- Be present, and don’t drag your past into the present
3-Don’t be greedy, and be patient
4-The outside is a reflection of what is happening on the inside
5-Give your brain something to focus on
We all have passions and hobbies.
What life lessons are you learning through your hobbies?

This week on the podcast I talk about three ways to make it through your unexpected adventure. I share two different experiences I just went through.
1- separate out what you can control (thoughts, attitude, and action), and what you can not control ( weather, people, sickness, and death)
2- Find mantras of ways to stay as calm and as positifve as possible
3- Watch the meaning you are adding to the adventure. What story are you telling.
A story that will help you move forward or a story that will keep up stuck.
Also I share a few way we handle our food protocols inside Team Elevate when we have unexpected adventures.

This week we discuss three points about our thoughts around “hard things”.
1- Finding evidence that you can do hard things.
2- It is just a thought, and what are you making it mean?
3 - Two questions to ask yourself:
a-Why are you choosing to call it hard?
b-Why are you willing to go through the hard?
Decide if you are “made for hard” or if you decide that “it is too hard”.

Why make decisions ahead of time? It helps with decision fatigue, you think with a clearer and higher brain power, you make better choices, and it helps give up freedom from all the mental chatter.
Then you learn to honor yourself by eating what you said you were going to eat, and not having to make a decision in the moment that are not leading you to the results you want.

Happy one year birthday to the podcast.
On this episode I dive into how the podcast got its name, and how important the word BEYOND truly is.
When we are willing to go beyond, we are willing to see what infinite possibilities are.
I share how we work on weight loss in team elevate, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. We focus on helping our relationship with food, our bodies, and ourselves elevate.
The weight comes off and all the tools that are learned become the ways the weight stays off for good. Then we work on what your life is like beyond having to worry about another diet or losing weight.
This is the place where really freedom and empowerment comes.
I quote things for the book The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer. It is such an insightful book.
