On an earnings call last week Steve Roth, CEO of Vernado, likened the phrase "Tax the Rich" to a racial slur. That same week, protests of the Met Gala and the Manhattan Institute gala had protestors facing off with billionaires in black tie attire. They know we're angry, and they're terrified. Paying more in taxes is the least they could do.
