Happy Thursday ya’ll.  It’s currently 6 degrees in the great city of Chicago and the only thing I can think that I want more right now is a stein of mulled wine, Game of Thrones style.  Add in rabbit stew and the ability to skin change into any animal, then I might be ok with how this winter is turning out  The Binge AfterCast is a podcast we do after we’re done recording the weekly BingeCast.  We figure we’re talking for about an hour after we’re done recording every week, why not make that into a separate show.  Here’s what I think we talk about this week:

Holy shit. What a game, right guys?

A lot of shit happened this morning that made this Monday Morning/Evening Moreno podcast one of the most trying fucking things since it’s inception (BWAHHHHHHHMMMMM).  First, my laptop is a cunt, and I had a hangover bad enough for Bukowski to swear off booze forever.  Only he’s dead.  From booze. Whatever, stay with me.

After talking about my favorite parts of the Super Bowl, I take a peek at some old Google Voices, in which Kupka gives the Angry Drunk Movie Dads movie homework by assigning The Princess Bride for Valentine’s Day, and another listener calls us cock holders, or some other cock derivative.

And introducing a new segment to the Monday Morning Moreno podcast, The Guest Co-Host!

This week’s guest co-host is long time listener, contributor, and great friend, PeteMC.  To pull back the curtain, remember when I said my laptop was a cunt?  Well, Pete and I talked earlier in the day and you would’ve heard the podcast much earlier in the day if said laptop wasn’t being a downright cunt.  Pete and I eventually connected a couple hours ago to talk about a myriad of things including his favorite movie of the year, the IFC shows Dinner for Five and Iconoclasts (which was on Sundance not IFC), and Super Bowl movie trailers like Jurassic Word and Fa7t and the Fu7iou7.

This week, the Binge Movie Aftertaste takes a break from talking to guests in order to do its part in sweeping 2014 under the rug. Pour a drink and take a listen as Jason and I give our own Top Ten favorite movies of the year, with Moreno -who already gave his Top Ten on the Binge Cast- adding comments as he sees fit.

I have to be honest. I didn’t think we had it in us to stretch this episode out longer than 40 minutes. But I believe we hit that mark right around our number 8 picks. So you can see where I’m going with this.

With surprises including The Babadook making an appearance, Jason not being overly impressed with a Binge favorite, and Moreno taking almost all the thunder out of my number one pick, this week’s Binge Aftertaste is two hours of dumb.

This week’s Banshee episode starts with one of the best choreographed fight scenes in TV history.  Bank on that.  You can’t get more of an intense fight than the photo below, and that’s saying a lot considering how well Banshee fights are staged.  We say it every week, but Banshee is the best thing on TV right now, and if you haven’t been watching, then you should drop everything and immediately get caught up on it.  Unless you’re holding a baby.  Don’t drop the baby.

With titles like Evil Head and The Grinch Who Gaped Christmas, adult film star Joanna Angel has become a force within the porn industry. This week on Binge Movie Aftertaste, Moreno and Garrett decide to explore a different side of the film business by speaking to Ms Angel about her endeavors within its realms. Joanna gets things going by talking about how she started her site Burning Angel while still finishing up her English degree at Rutgers, and how she still has that site to this day. After excitingly speaking about her recent signing with Stockholm, Angel then talks about how scary it is to have an empire and be responsible for many more careers besides her own. She delves into how she was approached for her appearance in the zombie film documentary Doc of the Dead (done by the same people who did The People vs George Lucas) and how a taste of the mainstream is good for anyone in the porn business.

After calling Garrett out for not having done his research, Angel touches on her work for Vivid Radio, and gives some stories about how she gets calls on the show from guys who ask her to ‘encourage’ their masturbation. She finishes the interview by talking about the AVNs and how the format, and business in general, has changed since she entered it.

After Angel hangs up, the lovely Jason Morris –complete with his airport supplied non fat/non whip mocha- joins the show right before boarding a plane to speak about the recent release of his film Story of Eva, and how he hopes it has a lasting life besides just its opening week. The show is closed off with a mini preview of what next week’s –yes, I said next week’s- Binge Movie Aftertaste is going to consist of, which is Jason and Garrett giving their Top Ten Films of 2014 lists. So while this show is a tad shorter than normal, you can be sure next week’s will be long enough to finish off a six pack to.
