On this week's episode of the Project Upland Podcast we are joined by Whit Fosburgh, President and CEO of the Thedore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership. Whit Fosburgh joined TRCP in June 2010. Prior to working at the TRCP, Fosburgh spent 15 years at Trout Unlimited, playing a critical role in the organization’s evolution into a conservation powerhouse. Additionally, Fosburgh served as fisheries’ director for the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, was chief environment and energy staff person for Sen. Tom Daschle and was a wildlife specialist for the National Audubon Society.
On today's show, our conversation focuses on the number one priority of the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership which is, "to guarantee all Americans quality places to hunt and fish." We cover current federal policy issues, sage grouse conservation, the 2018 farm bill and much more.
TRCP Mission: We help create federal policy and funding solutions by uniting our partners and amplifying the voices of American sportsmen and women in service of Theodore Roosevelt’s conservation legacy.
More from TRCP: In 1912, Roosevelt said, “There can be no greater issue than that of conservation in this country.” While in the political arena, he succeeded in making conservation a top-tier national issue. T.R. had the foresight to address these issues still so significant to sportsmen today, understanding that if we want to safeguard critical habitat, productive hunting grounds, and favorite fishing holes for future generations, we must plan carefully today.
