Myles is from Houston, Texas originally and has since then migrated his way to Nashville . While here , he has obtained his bachelors degree at Fisk University. Also while at Fisk , Myles was able to establish himself by joining Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. ; which led him to doing a host of other things on campus to make his leadership gift known . He vents with us on BMVT about the huge misconception between “reacting versus responding” . How hard is that for both men and women today ? Myles breaks down the meaning between the two and how both have their own consequences . He also talks to us about the importance of knowing your gift and how he was tired of running away from what he felt God had called him to be . Myles prides himself on his leadership , and shows it even today with the impact his best-selling book has had across the nation . Charles Key is by far one of the most talented artists there is . His first hobby that became a passion was cooking , but he decided to transition into art by doodling early on . Being raised in Los Angeles , Mr. Key vents about how rough it was coming up in the trenches , but talks highly of his dad and their relationship during his youthful age as well . Mr. Key has a beautiful story … and you can hear it all today on BMVT .

Breion vents about his depression , and talks about how everything began to come full circle when his son was born 👶🏽 stating that it gave him a chance to provide to his baby boy what wasn’t given to him . We are in the LAST EPISODE of our season titled “Raw Venting” on the Black Men Vent Too Podcast and we hope you have enjoyed the content thus far . All new episode we got for you guys on today! We end our “Raw Venting” season with an old school guest that gave us some added flavor to our platform . Nashville , we introduce to you Detroit native Rev. Robert Collins Jr.

Rev. Collins , affectionately known during his teaching days as “Mr. C” , represents the city of Detroit well with his message , his vision , and the way he lives his life . Mr. C attended American Baptist College from 1988-1991. He then enrolled at Vanderbilt Divinity School to receive his Master’s Degree in Divinity; which led him to pastoring for 15 years at Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church in 1991.

Mr. C vents with us on today’s episode about a wide range of topics from children lacking a support system , all the way to venting about proper leadership in our community . He pleads to our culture that we as black people have to find a way to put pride aside , and join in unity for the betterment of the generations ahead .

Marcus “Meek” Johnson is a Nashville native and has a podcast himself titled “The Grandma Cookies Podcast” . A free spirited podcast that shares different opinions on random topics in a fun and engaging manner . He tells BMVT that his podcast is “a podcast about nothing”; stating that the best conversations are “unplanned conversations”.

Happiness … was the focus of our “Raw Venting” episode today . Meek led into his vent session talking about how it is so important to find true happiness in life . He shares how God can often times be the only person that listens to you , but sharing with Him your inner most feelings can bring out that happiness within . Meek even vented about his suicidal phase of life and how simply not caring about what others thought of him, was something that saved his life .

“Raw Venting” is the season title for this month, and our guest decided to focus his vent session on the wide gap between young adults attendance in church pre and post COVID . An engaging conversation between Leon , Johnathon and today’s guest as we discuss opinions behind why millennials are running from church. Johnathon goes on to say that the millennial generation isn’t in church heavily due to hypocritical experiences . Leon gives his input by sharing how it will take those millennials who are in church now , to reach the rest and bring us back together spiritually and culturally across all ages. But our guest … he sits down with us to hash out all of the opinions and views , #BMVT audience please welcome Rev Roosevelt Keys III 🌱

Rev Roosevelt Keys, III, was born October 3, 1976 to Elder and Mrs. Roosevelt Keys Jr. in Torrance CA.  He accepted Christ at an early age and began preaching at the tender age of 5 years old at the Church of God of Prophecy in Compton CA. During the time from 5 years old until this present-day God has allowed him to be very active in ministry. Moving from California to Houston, TX after graduating high school, his ministry continued to grow.  However, coming from one denomination to another has not stopped this energetic young man of faith.  He was licensed in the Baptist Faith in 1998 at the New Bright Star Missionary Baptist of Houston, TX under the leadership of Dr. Lester J. Scott and ordained at the Mt. Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in 2004 under the leadership of Reverend Kenneth Webster.  Reverend Keys has preached across the country, he has done workshops, participated in street ministry, taught Bible Study, and has preached Adult and Youth revivals. He is also an accomplished musician, playing the drums since the age of three has allowed him to play for many in the gospel music industry as well as several churches 🙏🏽

My dad and I are excited to introduce to you guys today’s guest on the show . Affectionately known as “The Relationship Coach Pro” , Nashville we introduce to you Mr. Leonard Sturdivant 🌱

Mr. Leonard does his work right in the city

of Durham, North Carolina . He has both a bachelor’s and master's degree in Psychology from N.C. Central University and has completed 140 hours of doctoral training in marriage and family therapy at Virginia Tech. Mr. Sturdivant has conducted several workshops and conferences on relationships and held panel discussions on marriages and divorce. He talks with us today about how our culture is distracted with so much , that we’ve lost focus of general common core values . Mr. Sturdivant also breaks down the major differences between what love looks like from the millennial generation today , versus what love looked like back then when he was a millennial himself .

Hello to you guys! Welcome to another episode and an ALL NEW season of Black Men Vent Too. We want to thank you guys for the support you have given us , as we have embarked on a new achievement .

BLACK MEN VENT TOO HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY A PODCAST FOR 1 YEAR! 🎂🥳

As of August 1st … we have been a podcast for a whole year . Time surely does fly by fast , but we want to thank ALL of you for riding with us from our very first episode up to now . The loyalty , love , and support doesn’t go unnoticed 🖤

Let’s get into this new season! This month we will talk “Raw Venting” … bringing brothers on to come and legit vent about anything . No predetermined topic , no specifics , and we just have a discussion on that . We bring to the vent table today our friend Mr. Marquez Cantrell 🎙

Quez Cantrell is an independent artist from Nashville, TN, more specifically “Out East”. Quez has long been a face in the homegrown music scene in Nashville. Whether it be a show regular in the crowd for the last decade, a Web Designer for Nashville artist and businesses, a street team member, or even a proclaimed “Unofficial A&R” of the city, he has worn many hats in the culture. Quez has now set out on a new path as an artist himself.

In January 2020, Quez released his first body of work, an EP entitled “9” loosely based on the likeness of Steve McNair, and focused on Blackness in Nashville’s history. The EP was received well, being featured in publications from NPR and The Nashville Scene, with the latter recognizing Quez as the 2020 “Best Hip-Hop Newcomer”. In his short time as an artist, he has soldout shows at the NMAAM (National Museum of African American Music) in downtown Nashville, 3 sold out shows in one night at Slim & Husky’s NKA Gallery, and numerous notable events in the Nashville community.

Today we get into the last episode for our season titled “Music & Entertainment” on Black Men Vent Too . Our goal for this season was to give Nashville an understanding of what goes on in the minds of local rap artists , DJs , and musical minds in our city . Nashville is labeled with country music being the pinnacle genre , but there are many different styles of music that are in this city . We talk heavily throughout this season on the good and bad that’s associated with the music industry, and what black men struggle with while being a part of such a competitive environment .

Bringing to the vent table today Mr. Shawn Lewis , a DJ born and raised in Nashville , Tennessee and goes by his stage name “DJ Perm” 💿 . DJ Perm began his love for the turntables about 2 years ago . He vents with us today on how the quarantine from COVID really sparked his creativity into wanting to venture off in the DJ’ing field . Mr. Lewis talks with us about the importance of music , how it can change the energy in the room , and shares with us small do’s and don’t’s that every good DJ should know . A lot of people don’t give the respect deserved for the DJ , not knowing that he is the one who keeps the night going .

A new episode we got for you guys today as we continue to go through our “Music & Entertainment” Season on BMVT! Thank you guys as always for supporting us like you do, we appreciate it. Let’s get into today’s episode .

The Body Mass Index of Music & Entertainment In A Black Man with our guy Jeremias Elston , affectionately known by his fans as “Abu Da Don” , has joined us today on Black Men Vent Too . Mr. Elston has done a plethora of different things throughout his lifetime .

- Born August 27th 1996 in the heart of the city

- Has participated in the following sports: football, basketball, baseball, golf, swimming, soccer, skateboarding, and karate

- Has played various instruments: alto sax, bass guitar, xylophone, violin, and drums

- Led Hendersonville High School to a State Championship Appearance; selected to the All American Offense/Defense Game in Orlando, FL 

- Took his talents to Tennessee State University to play QB (2015); deans list 

- Actively involved at TSU: former Rescue Coordinator for Architectural Engineer Institute, member of American Society of Civil Engineers, volunteered at Nashville Rescue Mission, Samaritan Ministries, participated in multiple Residential Development projects with AEI

- Member of Alpha Theta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.; later elected Exchequer, appointed as Junior Vice Polemarch, became Polemarch of Chapter and Strategus of South Central Province (2018), became a LIFE MEMBER of Kappa (2020)

- Elected President of Architectural Engineer Institute as well as Recruiting Coordinator for American Society of Civil Engineers

- Selected to take part in a study abroad trip in Turkey; honored as Top Computer Science Student

- COVID hindered the trip; but birthed what is known as "Top Flight The Brand"; a multifaceted business from clothing, entertainment, to music

- Currently a radio personality on Streetz 99.3 Radio in Nashville, Tennessee

- (2020) Became an artist; collabed with Daniel Cartwright, Warren Sawyers, Elijah Caldwell, Richard Hill, and more

- First album "Quarantine Dream"; NEW joint album with Top Flight The Brand called "Flight SZN" , July 15th 2022.
