I, for one, was really ready for the TV series Power to be over. But they added many final season episodes as an extension. It was this generations Who Shot JR. Then they went and did something worse...They created a spin off. This time Tariq is at college and Method Man and Mary J Blige are involved. I won't be watching. However, I may be listening as Kunta just let me know that Sisqo has thrown his name in the hat for artists willing to sing the intro song.

Kunta reveals that he isn't so black after all. At least not when it comes to black tv series watching. He has never seen an episode of the following: The Wire, Insecure, Queen Sugar, etc. He has also only seen one Tyler Perry movie. Isn't he supposed to be the more potent Black from Black ON Both sides?

D Wade and Gabby are looking like the most progressive parents of the year, yet they still are not allowing Wade's other son from another mom in the house. How progressive is that? 

Trump has turned his real life into an episode of the Apprentice and has begun firing everyone in sight. Meanwhile the Dems look more and more powerless against a re-election. Unless....Unless...Mike Bloomberg can save the day!

Black On Both Sides Episode #71

Gayle King is of the Winfrey Royalty. However, just because she is beside royalty, it doesn't give her the right to come at royalty. She took it upon herself to ask friend of Kobe, Lisa Leslie about Kobe’s rape allegations and Black Twitter went crazy. Black IG, Black Facebook, Black Myspace, as well.

Oprah came to her rescue with tears and an excuse. But Kunta thinks this is only due to her conspiracy against black men. All of the black men she has attempted to burn at the stake, while seemingly turning a blind eye to friend and alleged rapist Weinstein.

Why hasn’t an expose about him come about? Is there a shady backstory to their connection that prevents that truth from coming out?

Did anyone watch the oscars? I didn't but Kunta makes fun of me for seeing all of the movies that are up for awards. He calls this #HonestSoWhite.

Trump was acquitted and no one ever heard the evidence. No witnesses were allowed. So obviously the president wasn't removed. But what did we miss? We missed a lot of things. In fact, more evidence came out after the articles were turned over than before. The fact that witnesses were not allowed feels like obvious obstruction of justice at this point.

How do we move forward? Can the country support the man now? Pelosi tearing up his speech says otherwise. But for the everyday citizen, how do we move forward? The democratic hopefuls are hopeless. So you can't even vote your way out of four more years.

Black On Both Sides Episode #69

Pelosi holds the articles. But as it turns out it was for the best. Doing so has literally opened the flood gates of new information that if nothing else, changes the momentum and dynamic of the hearing.

90 minutes after getting off of the phone with the Ukrainian President, it appears that the Pentagon was struck with a moral dilemma. Should they withhold aid from The Ukraine? Did that happen? Would you believe it if it were in an email? Laws?

What about text messages? You believe those? Parnas has them; many of them. Apparently, everyone knew about everything. Parnas knows Trump. Everybody Trump knows, knows Parnas. Does Trump know him? Nope!

Hearings are set to begin this week. We can only hope that this trial has teeth. If for no other reason, than the Democratic hopefuls are floundering around the debate stage.

Episode #68 The NFL playoffs are officially here. J Cole has new music but sadly, Amethyst has nothing coming. I share why I love her fake voice and Kunta continues to be the hoodest of us...looking for a new 2 Chainz project.

This week was one of turmoil but we have to take it in chronological order. There isn't a way that you have missed any of this news, however, we will break it down line by line. I want to know why the articles of impeachment are taking so long to be delivered. Is it because they aren't worthy of impeachment, because he won't get impeached, or both of those things and a far more sinister platform positioning tactic by the Democrats? I have to wonder if the articles had been delivered, maybe we would not be in the other mess we are in. Now how do we proceed? Did someone hit the pause button? Was it the Democrats?

Do you remember when Obama and the rest of the sane world figured out a way to get Iran to relax their uranium development? Kunta says it was a thing. Trump figured out how to immediately undo the doings of that agreement. And we have intensified the region as a result. Fast forward to the Embassy protest and the imminent threat re[ports, now we are knee deep in the muck. How about we bomb someone? Perfect timing, you say? Distraction from impeachment, you say?

It can't be that easy.
