In this episode, Mike and Jack review the MCU's real first lady - Black Widow. Mike then welcomes Dominican musician Yasser Tejeda who discusses his new acoustic EP 'Interior' and shares how in the Dominican Republic his conservatory did not teach him how to play Bachata or Merengue. Mike explores the topic further in the interview. Tejeda's music is a fusion of Dominican experiences merging the traditional Dominican culture with Jimi Hendrix, bebop, and the blues.
Tejeda grew up in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, moved to Boston to study at the famed Berklee School of Music, and is now based in New York. In addition to his pursuit of roots in music ecstasy, he has toured extensively with pop star Prince Royce and recorded multiple projects with Vicente Garcia and Eduardo Cabra.
“When I received the invitation to this podcast, I was like, I love this. We are so connected, and at the same time, there seems to be a disconnection. People think that we come from different places, though we had these connections that go beyond us. That is shown in the music.”
