According to the United Nations, Sub-Saharan Africa annually loses circa $95 billion because of the gender gap in the labour market. This is one of the multitude of indicators that reform is needed within our structures to reduce the inequalities caused by the barriers women face. We address some of those difficulties to understand how we can promote and support structures that are more representative. On this episode of BlackFor30, my guest Christine Mudavanhu-Makumbe shares why she is hopeful of the world’s investment into inclusive economic growth.
Christine is the founder and principal consultant of Utano Consulting, based in Queensland, where she provides diversity and inclusion strategies for organisations, leadership development and change management. She is also a Member of The Board Advisors for Migrant Women in Business and a Non-Executive Advisor in the National Board of African Professionals of Australia Ltd.
