Both players have a 4 on the 12th hole and as they are walking off the green, Fraser says to Marcela, "that is a half". Marcela says nothing. As they are standing at the 13th tee and before either player has started the next hole, Marcela says, "actually I got a shot on that last hole so I won." Fraser says, "no that is not right, as we walked off the green, I said we were halved and you heard me and you didn't correct me - it is a halved hole."

Thinking he cannot get there, Blakey plays and flushes his 3 wood, with his ball landing just off the green and rolling to within 30cms of the hole, while the group in front are putting. Blakey raises his hand to apologise. As he walks onto the green, he taps it in for an eagle 3. Pulling the ball out of the hole, Blakey realizes it is not his ball and believes he may have played a wrong ball on the fairway. He says to his marker, just me down for a wipe. As Blakey is walking to the next tee, a player in the group ahead comes back, gives Blakey back his original ball and says, "sorry mate, I marked and lifted your ball, and when we finished the hole, I mistakenly replaced my spare ball on the spot. What is Blakey's score for the hole? Marcela plays her 2nd shot on the par 5 2nd hole at Wombat Hills, and the ball heads way right towards a boundary fence, and appears to land in thick grass. As Marcela is not sure if she will find the ball or even if it will be in bounds, she correctly announces and drops a provisional ball in the fairway. After dropping but before playing that ball, a homeowner on the other side of the fence relays to some spotters that the original ball has come to rest on the course and is in the thick tall grass. This message is passed on to Marcela standing in the fairway. Not wanting to search for her ball in the long grass, Marcela chooses to complete the hole with the dropped ball. After holing out, Marcela asks a referee on the next tee about her previous hole. Are there any penalty strokes? What is the ruling?

Clubland Story #7 - Player blatantly disregards 'known or virtual certainty'and 'ball in play' records a par, then has no regard for letting the Committee know.
GRQOTW #81 -
In which of the following is the player not required to drop their ball or another ball again? When the player drops a ball in the right way in the relief area such that it lands in the general area and then rolls:
A. onto and comes to rest on a putting green when relief was properly taken under Rule 17.1 (Penalty Area) for a ball last crossing the edge of a red penalty area near the putting green.
B. into and comes to rest in a portion of the relief area that is in a bunker.
C. to and comes to rest in a position where there is interference for the player's stance by the cart path from which relief was initially taken under Rule 16.1b (Abnormal Course Conditions, Relief for Ball in General Area).
D. when taking relief under Rule 16.3b (Embedded Ball), the player's ball rolls into a position where their stance is on the location where the ball was embedded.
Between the Tee or Not the Tee, That is the Question - THE GRQ PODCAST EP80

GRQOTW #80 - Big P and Andy the Average Golfer are playing a match. Andy the Average Golfer has pushed his tee shot well right and thinking it may be lost, plays a provisional ball. When they arrive at where Andy's ball should be, a group on another tee confirms that his ball entered and came to rest in a very large area of GUR. Andy considers his options for taking free relief from the GUR and decides his next shot over the GUR will be incredibly difficult so he walks back to the fairway and continues play of the hole with his provisional. Big P claims the hole immediately as Andy the Average Golfer has played a wrong ball - you are called in as the referee - what is your ruling?
