Tonight we learned a new term thanks to our special guest, Bronwyn Kelly-Seigh. That term is "CanCon". In Canada they actually invest in their creators and their are mandatory minimums and grants for content created in Canada and using Canadian creators and actors. And that, dear friends, is how you end up with a little movie called "Blood and Donuts" about a vampire who went to sleep in 1969 and woke up in mid-nineties Toronto. Now he's eager to see all the sights, like the world's most run down block of flats, the graveyard where he buried his vampire coat and squeezebox, and the world's dingiest all-night donut shop.

But that's not all! Before his first day is over he'll be dealing with the Toronto mob (led by David Cronenberg himself) and he'll be part of a bizarre love rhombus with his old girlfriend, the spunky bat-wielding clerk at the donut shop, and a cab driver with a deeply inexplicable accent.
