As inexplicable as the loss to Illinois may have been, Tom & Andy managed to record their longest podcast of the season as they try and grapple with the slow-motion disaster that was the Illinois game. Then they stare down the monster that is this year's Ohio State team, as they anticipate a second consecutive Halloween fright-night for Saturday's game against the nation's top offense.
Coming out of a bye week with no Penn State football, Tom & Andy take the opportunity to look across the landscape of college football halfway through the 2021 season. They also take stock of Penn State at the midpoint and look ahead to the Illinois game with starting QB Sean Clifford's injury status unknown.

Tom and Andy recap a businesslike, if uninspired, win against Villanova and look ahead to their first chance to avenge last year's opening-game loss to Indiana. Coming off a disappointing 2-2 start, this still-dangerous Indiana team will look to prove last year was not a fluke, while Penn State looks to shake off last year's loss and show that their top-4 ranking is well-deserved.
It was a glorious evening in Happy Valley as Tom & Andy recount the sights and sounds of a White Out win, as the Nittany Lions prevailed over the visiting Auburn Tigers. As they revel in the team's success, they simultaneously manage to avoid spending too much time nit-picking the abysmal officiating. The close by taking stock of the team a quarter of the way through the season, and reserve a bit of room at the end to preview their upcoming opponent, FCS contender Villanova.
It's whiteout week! With #22 Auburn coming to town for a major cross-conference matchup, the brothers all kinds of excited, especially after Penn State took care of defending MAC-champ Ball State on Saturday.
